Six adult family members ate an evening meal here just after Christmas: 5 steaks, 1 chicken; no drinks and no dessert: $250 + tip.
Reservation was for 6:15, we arrived before that, were seated immediately and our order was taken promptly. Bread, salads and soup came out right away, then we had over an hour wait for our entrees. Waiter (Kevin) was friendly and apologetic for the delay, but we saw several people leave without ever getting their entrees.
The steaks were cooked properly and nicely presented; order was correct in all details. However, some of the steaks were cool when served and the six meals did not arrive together. French onion soup was excellent; Ceaser salad was above average; New York striploin was above average, although seasoning lacked any real flavor. The bacon wrapped filet was tasty but not as tender as a $35 filet should have been. The Bearnaise sauce was below average and sour; chicken teryaki was above average.
Lighting varied by location; some older family members at our table had trouble reading the menu in the dim light. Seating was comfortable and noise level was about average. Casual dress. Lots of steps to upper floor (no elevator).
For this price ($40+ per person for salad and steak), I expect top quality food, service and presentation, and we did not get it here. Overall grade: C.
