The sight of an Orca whale is an experience I will never forget! Going out with SeaKing Adventures was the absolute BEST. Not only to witness a pod swimming near and breaching, putting on a breathtaking show, but learning some facts and habits was a bonus. The captain was very knowledgeable and more than willing to share some experiences. We saw seals, and that day were fortunate to see Humpback whales too! The boat seats were comfortable, the company friendly...I highly recommend this excursion to anybody.

Unbelievable experience! I've been out with the larger companies and felt like cattle being stuck in my seat and treated like a tourist.
Seaking made me feel like a friend invited into their world. A friendly atmosphere combined with a vessel that allowed for more personal interaction with the skipper and the ability to get up and move around.
The skipper "Digger" was fun, knowledgeable and great with the kids! He provided a very comfortable ride and slowed down when the sea got rough rather than pounding along sticking to a schedule.
Highly recommended!!!

Ocean spray in our faces, breezes in our hair enroute to the whaling site, with fascinating sites on the way, culminating in quiet moments, mesmerized by the rise and fall of orcas puffing spray, feeding on salmon as they swam their paths toward Vancouver. Being so close to the whales helped us savor the magic of the moment -- the advantage of a small whale watching vessel. Ron, the owner and captain maneuvered the waters in the calmest of the currents and provided a most knowledgeable but not drone-boring commentary. Thanks a million!! -- Two happy world travellers from Manitoba!

We only had one full day visiting Victoria this summer and we're all so glad that we chose to spend it watching the magnificent orcas with Captain Ron!
My husband, two children (10 & 12) and I were lucky enough to be the only guests on the boat. We had intended to take a trip with one of the larger operators but stumbled across Ron and thank good ness we did! I would highly recommend booking this fabulous trip with a smaller operator. We had tons of room to move around on the boat and were intrigued to hear all the stories and information that Ron imparted about the area, environment and the wildlife. He is knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and seems to have a remarkable sense for where best to position the boat for the best view of the whales. Unlike some larger operators who are watching the clock,, Ron was happy for us to be out on the water until we had seen all we came to see - and we did! An awe inspiring and humbling experience. Whatsmore, our children loved the speed of the boat, bump of the waves and taking every opportunity to get drenched in the spray. I, however, was very happy to keep warm and dry in the full body suit provided!
Thank you Ron for a memorable experience. Go with the little guys (as one other reviewer has already said. You'll not regret it!)

Well Captain Ron and his unending knowledge of the sea and its habitat made our whale watching trip very exciting, in fact we did see Orcas but had we not been lucky enough we would not have cared as the exhilarating boat trip, seal, birds and information spilt out was pure enjoyment!
A 10 sweater boat, however only 4 of us booked, yet Ron was still happy to take up out, meaning we could move about the boat comfortably, there is even a toilet on board for those desperate!
The boat is very small! Perfectly safe, however you will get WET! We saw golden and bald eagles, millions of seals, gulls and cormorants and the highlight a pod of orca that had not been spotted all summer, we were extremely lucky! I would completely recommend this trip to anyone visiting Victoria and avoid the larger more commercialised set ups as you will never be Captained like this anywhere else!
Next year Ron and Holly are running a new type of adventure and I hope to take part in the crabbing next time I visit!
