My family and I had the best time on the whale watching and Butchart Gardens tour. We only were able to see one humpback whale and some sea lions, but the experience was an amazing first for all of us. The staff was incredibly friendly and informative. The Gardens were spectacular and we even enjoyed the educational bus ride back to Victoria! Would highly recommend.

We took a whale watching trip with Prince of Whales in Victoria, Canada. We took the open boat Zodiak trip. Austin was our guide. It was a GREAT experience. The boat ride was a treat in and of itself- you suited up in big orange survival suits and boarded a 12 person open air pontoon boat. Once we cleared the garner it was a lot of fun, bouncing over swells, wind in your face, spectacular views of the Olympic mountains. And we saw whales! A pod of orcas and two beautiful hump back whales. Our guide was so respectful of the whales and not interfering with them! He was also very knowledgeable and gave lots of interesting info on the pod and the humpback whales- where they had traveled from, etc. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company and guide!

The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about whales. The only suggestion I'd offer is to use the microphone during the safety and informational briefing. We could not hear over the roar of the motor. We did see humpbacks. If you expect to see an Orca, you may not even though the brochures feature Orcas. Check to see whether there have been recent sightings.

Not much else to say - thoroughly enjoyable trip with Jasper on a morning Zodiac adventure for the family.

Highlight was Humpback sightings including one very large whale that was launch feeding the krill soup that was served up by nature's west coast kitchen this morning !

Jasper shared a lot of information to the passengers and always observed a respectful distance from the undersea visitors.

The weather was very warm and calm which made for excellent viewing and hardly a drop of spray to worry any of the expensive cameras on the boat - even at speed. The zodiac ribs seem to be super stable and agile - I want one !
