Amazing experience!
Warm and considerate explanation.

Learning a lot about whales, and I can feel the how closed the local people and animals are.

Strongly recommend.

Thank you so much for your fantastic review Jinghan! How exciting that you are learning a lot about whales. These wonderful mammals never fail to amaze us and this is certainly felt amongst the local community.

Each experience is so unique and is an adventure! We never know what we are going to find..
We hope you to have you join us on another tour in future.

Lucked out with gorgeous sunny day at the end of September. Keep in mind you travel quite far to get out into open water. Spotted a few whales but they surface so briefly it’s not easy to grab a photo. Very interesting how the crew know which pod the whales are with lol. Smooth ride. Passed by the sea lion colony on way back to the harbour. Enjoyable day overall.

Hi there,

So great to hear that the weather was in your favour the day of your trip! Our crew certainly have a wealth of information and are able to identify whales by their dorsal fin and saddle patch (the greyish area behind the dorsal fin) as they are distinctive to each individual whale!

We are so pleased you got to observe the sea lions too! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review and we can't wait to have you back with us again.

Although the whales decided not to grace us with their presence the boat ride was fun!! My father, my husband and I enjoyed the zodiac ride trying to find them. Beautiful scenery! Jasper, our captain, was knowledgeable, and very friendly. The sea lions, seals and eagles were impressive ... especially the sea lions!

Hi there,

We are sorry that you didn't get to see any whales on your tour. Every tour is unpredictable and sometimes we aren't lucky enough to see whales but thank you for your great comments about our zodiac vessel - it is certainly an adventure in itself and how great that you got to observe other marine marine wildlife!

Thank you also for your kind comments about our captain, Jasper. He certainly has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to marine life!

Please do contact us to arrange another booking with our whale sighting guarantee. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Although no whales seen the skipper was incredibly friendly and informative and we get a free trip next time to compensate. Lovely people!

We went on an off-season day and still saw a bunch of transient orcas. The guide was informative and kept a respectful distance from the animals and it never felt like a “chase,” just passive observation, as it should be. We also saw harbor seals and pups, stellar sea lions and pups, a river otter, and various birds. The other two adults I was with agreed it was well worth the $86USD or whatever the full price was for an off season morning trip. It was plenty warm with the suits, gloves, and hats provided. Bring your own sunglasses and warm socks/shoes. Heads up- if you sit in the front row (especially with only a few people on the boat) you will need to hang on for dear life at times! Lots of fun!

Thank you for your wonderful review Allyson - how great that you got to see a pod of transient orcas and marine wildlife on your adventure. The zodiac tour is certainly one of our most adrenaline-pumping adventures and a great way to encounter whales in the wild - almost like a Safari in the Sea!

We are so happy you enjoyed our tour and we hope to have you join us again whenever you are back in British Columbia.
