What a great place to visit. Seems small and simple but it is packed with fantastic bugs.

Staff are so full of knowledge and holding some live famous bugs rock!

This is a great activity to do with kids or adults. Where else will you get to hold every kind of bug imaginable? or have a millipede mustache? admittedly I didn't hold much, but for those more adventurous you can even hold a scorpion! A fascinating little activity!

How often do you get to have a giant millipede crawl on your face? How many giant Mexican red legged tarantulas have you held? Well this is the place to experience all of that and much more. Tiny place, but appropriately so. If you like the offbeat pleasures like my wife and I do, go.

I am 28 years old and had a ball at the bug zoo. There were a lot of children there so I did not get to hold any of the insects, but I was happy to stand back, listen to the excellent information given by the knowledgeable guide and let the kids hold the creepy crawlies. I even got to see some kids get a "millipede mustache"-something you should ask about I will leave it a surprise. They have a really cool Cutter Ant farm that spans two walls and I believe will be the inspiration for my own ant farm one day. This little zoo is right downtown, easy to get to don't pass it up! $10 is well worth it for an adult fee.

We had a great time at the Bug Zoo. The guide, Liam, and the woman at the entry were both very knowledgeable and lovely. We got to hold lots of bugs (I held a tarantula, the kids held lots of stick insects, etc) and learnt a lot about them. The Zoo is just one partitioned room, but one room has space for plenty of different bugs. It was a fabulous way to spend a rainy morning.
