“Personable and knowledgeable guide”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

We had a great time at the Bug Zoo. The guide, Liam, and the woman at the entry were both very knowledgeable and lovely. We got to hold lots of bugs (I held a tarantula, the kids held lots of stick insects, etc) and learnt a lot about them. The Zoo is just one partitioned room, but one room has space for plenty of different bugs. It was a fabulous way to spend a rainy morning.

“BUGS”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

The last time I was at the bug zoo there was a class of youngsters, so I didn't have a chance to really do anything. After the kiddies left, the gentleman working that day gave me a private tour. It was awesome.

“Fun indoor bug zoo”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

I thought it was great fun! We got to hold most of the bugs (gross) and everyone had a good time.

Because it is called a bug 'zoo' I was expecting it to be a lot bigger. But it was worth seeing and we had a lot of fun. Be brave an try holding the bugs... I dare you :)

“Children's events”

Great for the kids - as long as they like bugs. The "zoo" is fascinating for everyone but it will keep the kids engaged for some time and give parents a bit of a rest from the running around!

“Not for the faint of heart”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

I had a great time - and unlike my first visit several years ago, was brave enough to hold the lovely tarantula, Nora! My five-year-old and his grandma were less impressed, so bear in mind the sensibilities of your family before going. Lots of kids will love this, but some of the more squeamish should give it a pass.

The guides have been knowledgeable and passionate about their subject, and there is so much to learn, it's definitely worth a repeat visit!
