We were not staying at the hotel but stopped into the Bengel lounge on recommendation of a local. Set up like someone's livingroom and very inviting. They have a curry buffet that we did not partake in, but it smelled heavenly. The grapefruit martini that we had was delicious. Live accustical duo played and they were fantastic. Highly recommended.

To experience real British tea is amazing but not cheap. The service was good. For the most part the food was amazing, just a few items I didn't care for. I've gone to tea twice and I haven't been disappointed.

The Empress was designed by the same architect that designed the beautiful Parliament Buildings across the street.....quite impressive and grand.

A special treat. One ought not to pay attention to the cost of the afternoon tea. It is a once in a life time experience, best enjoyed for a special occasion. We were a party of 8-two families celebrating the graduation of a daughter in each family. A memory to be treasured. Superb service
