If you've been to the wonderful Butchart Gardens on Vancouver Island, you may like to visit this, much more intimate, but no-less lovely garden - the home and life's work of two remarkable people. The staff were very friendly - and, we especially thank a volunteer, Grace, who took us back towards town in her own car - saving us a long walk!!

Very nice to stroll around at any time of the year. Tea is also good and relaxing. Overall, good for the soul.

These gardens are in a residential area and very tranquil. They are maintained by the TLC and definitely worth a stroll through. The history and background associated with the gardens and the house is fascinating and the admission price is worth the cause!

didn't know what to expect but went anyway. went the same week as Butchart Gardens. Abkhazi is much nicer and costs about half to one third as much and doesn't take a long drive in the country to find.

absolutely lovely gardens and sweet story of how they came to be.

Although much smaller than Bouchart Gardens (and much less expensive), this garden is a fantastic place for tea and scones (much cheaper and much better than hugh tea at the Empress). The story behind this private garden makes it all the more wonderful and this place will be a must visit on every trip to Victoria (we went for tea and scones 3 times in one week).
