Did the BC Ferries getaway to Victoria for two days and was booked into the Parkside Victoria Resort and Spa and it was great. It was a lovely room two tv's, two fireplaces, great kitchen with even a washer and dryer a nice touch. Easy walking distances to everything downtown would stay there again for sure.
BC Ferries did their usual perfect job of booking and arranging.

Room Tip: higher has better night views when the city is all lit up. Check out the roof top garden at night

The Parkside Resort and Spa is in a perfect location downtown Victoria! Close to everything, downtown, Beacon Hill Park, Inner Harbour, etc. The two bed room suites were very nice, spacious and worked well for our family. The kitchen, dinning room and living room areas were great! It doesn't have the most comfortable beds, and the washing machine was broken, but for the price it was a fantastic value!

Room Tip: Ask for a unit with a roof top patio

Nice room with great kitchen amenities. Internet-wifi connection extremely poor, which was very disappointing as this place has much to offer. Parking was also a problem here as we had a topper on the roof of our car, which put us over the height limit. The only options offered are to park on the street (impossible during the day-very limited) or to park in lots blocks away. We opted to take our topper off and store it and its contents in our room. Nice pool and hot tub, and nice movie theater where we enjoyed a movie on the big screen with the kids one night. We could hear our neighbors talking at night when we were in our room, but luckily they went to bed around 10:30 both nights we were there. Garden in the lobby is lovely and unique.

Great location, amazing lobby, condo style rooms. Amenities offered were were great, had the theater to ourselves. Found the fellow working the night shift to be especially helpful, think it was Cory? If you have a chance check out the Spa, and the coffee shop as well!

Room Tip: Choose a room in the A Tower

This was our second time here. This is the best place to stay in Victoria! Close to downtown, beautiful rooms and great value. It feels more like a condo than a hotel room, and the amenities (eg: pool) are great. The 2 bedroom suites are great for groups. Can't beat it!

Beautiful hotel with wonderfully thoughtful amenities. Unfortunately for us, some of them needed attention. The washer only worked if the maintenance crew came and opened the door for us after each load, the tv "froze up" and the morning with no hot water was a real eye opener. The housekeeping staff was excellent, but the front desk really only played lip service to our problems. Apprising us of the change in the parking lot code would have been helpful also. Clean, quality otherwise.

Stayed at this hotel when the weather was not great and enjoyed the not real, but warm and cheerful, "fireplaces" in both living room and bedroom. Travelling with my adult son who had friends to be out and about with late in the evening made me appreciate the suite layout, with separate sofabed in the living room which he rated as very comfortable. The hotel has a great little (literally little!) restaurant with interesting choices of food and drink, locally sourced and reasonably priced. (Much more interesting and affordable food than similar hotels.) The location is within walking distance of lots of interesting shopping, sightseeing, and other restaurants for variety in your diet. We booked this via Hotwire, and got an exceptionally good rate on the room. I'd say it was the perfect winter get away.
