Great location, amazing lobby, condo style rooms. Amenities offered were were great, had the theater to ourselves. Found the fellow working the night shift to be especially helpful, think it was Cory? If you have a chance check out the Spa, and the coffee shop as well!

This was our second time here. This is the best place to stay in Victoria! Close to downtown, beautiful rooms and great value. It feels more like a condo than a hotel room, and the amenities (eg: pool) are great. The 2 bedroom suites are great for groups. Can't beat it!

Beautiful hotel with wonderfully thoughtful amenities. Unfortunately for us, some of them needed attention. The washer only worked if the maintenance crew came and opened the door for us after each load, the tv "froze up" and the morning with no hot water was a real eye opener. The housekeeping staff was excellent, but the front desk really only played lip service to our problems. Apprising us of the change in the parking lot code would have been helpful also. Clean, quality otherwise.

Stayed at this hotel when the weather was not great and enjoyed the not real, but warm and cheerful, "fireplaces" in both living room and bedroom. Travelling with my adult son who had friends to be out and about with late in the evening made me appreciate the suite layout, with separate sofabed in the living room which he rated as very comfortable. The hotel has a great little (literally little!) restaurant with interesting choices of food and drink, locally sourced and reasonably priced. (Much more interesting and affordable food than similar hotels.) The location is within walking distance of lots of interesting shopping, sightseeing, and other restaurants for variety in your diet. We booked this via Hotwire, and got an exceptionally good rate on the room. I'd say it was the perfect winter get away.

We booked this Hotel through Hotwire so we didn't know where we were going until we paid for it(they hide the name) We had no idea where it was even though we live on the Island. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly Front Desk Clerk. When she found out that we had never stayed there before she explained where everything was and gave us great directions to our room. The walk through the Atrium to get there was lovely. The room itself was a very nice supprise(we didn't know we were getting a suite) It was very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The fireplace and flat screen in the seperate King size bedroom was a nice touch, not to mention the fireplace and flat sceen in the living room as well. Nice furniture and a very comfy bed too!!
We did use the pool and Hot tub and enjoyed them thoroughly but never made it to the Movie Theatre (what a great idea) and the night view from the Roof Top deck was great. It would have been nicer if the parents on the floor we were on didn't let their kids run up and down the hall sreaming but that's not the Hotel's fault. We stay in Victoria a few times a year and would definitly return to the Parkside. Next time I will try the Spa as well!
Check out was very quick and the young girl working was very friendly and funny(she liked our Ceasar kit) Not quite sure why others are complaining about the Staff, but maybe you get what you give!! We loved it!

Room Tip: Tower A has all the amenities

My boyfriend and I have stayed in many nice and not so nice hotels in both Victoria and across the world. This hotel was top notch and I would rate it top five hotels I have every stayed at. The check in was quick and painless, parking was easy and elevators were near all parking and easy to access. The indoor gardens were the best part about the lobby and it is where I would like to sit down and read a book. It would be an amazing place to set up a wedding as well. We stayed with friends in a Luxury two bedroom suite for under 300 dollars. It was very large and well equipped. Everything was extremely clean and the appliances were new and very nice. The rooms could use an IPOD dock. The beds are very comfy and the pull out beds were even sleep able. The big tub was wonderful and I could have spent all day in it. The TV could have been much much higher quality. The bathrooms, bedrooms, and sitting areas are all very good size and comfortable. The patios were overlooking the courtyard and big enough to drink on or have a nice meal. We never got to swim because of the shorter pool hours however the pool looked nice and clean. While we were staying there we could hear rumbling in the walls every couple hours and thought it was a washer dryer, other then that it was quiet. The hotel could use a big restaurant or a tapas style area. The check out was fast and after mentioning the noise they gave us a discount which was very kind and always appreciated. I can not wait to stay there again and I would suggest it to anyone. If you are looking to shop or be a tourist it is also a very good location. We all LOVED it.

Room Tip: Two bedroom luxury suite on the 5th floor was perfect.
