The B&B is closed to Victoria city center (about 10 min driving) and it's located in a beautiful country house. Sylvia (the innkeeper) welcomed us in a very kind way and gave us plenty of info about Victoria (what to do, what to see), restaurants etc...
Our room was soooo beautiful: french style, very clean and romantic. Breakfast surprised us: it was delicious, homemade and different every day! Before leaving the house, Sylvia and her husband asked us about the rest of our holiday, gave some useful advices... All their attention and care made our days at the Fairholme so special. Thank you!

The hosts are wonderful. Sylvia does a fantastic job with breakfasts. The rooms are large and very nicely appointed. Probably the nicest B&B I have ever stayed in. The location is very quiet and secluded. Definitely the place to stay.

The house was beautiful, the gardens beautiful and the location perfect. Quietly tucked in behind some gorgeous gardens this place is a real gem.
The owners were absolutely fantastic- so accommodating and super friendly, we felt like family after our very short one night stay.
Our room was warm and the bed super comfy. The massive double bath with double shower was wonderful and the breakfast...... spectacular!! Everything home made and made with love. Sylvia has two cool books with all her delicious breakfasts and more in and we bought them both!
You will not go hungry here that’s for certain.
We will be back for longer as soon as we can..

Myself and my husband spent last weekend here. Absolutely wonderful stay!
Very comfortable bed, deck and couches to relax on. Warm, cozy throws were provided to curl up with on the couch.
Excellent breakfast! And great to come home to the smell of fresh granola cooking every afternoon!
Very close to the castle and lieutenant governor's home to walk around the grounds.
Sylvia was very helpful with recommendations and even made our reservations for dinners and whale watching.
I was very impressed and will be returning.
We have already recommended to friends who are staying there this weekend.
I look forward to our next visit.

My husband and I have been staying at Fairholme Manor for 18 years (or so) on our almost annual trips to Victoria - and wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. Even though the inn has been hosting guests for 20 years, it is as fresh as the day we first visited - thanks to the fastidious attention of its owners, Sylvia and Ross Main. The suites in the main house are grand - spacious with high ceilings, moldings, fireplaces, original wood flooring, luscious beds and bedding - everything you could want. The grounds are lovely too - with roses, fruit trees, expansive lawn - and it is just a stone's throw from the gardens of the Lieutenant Governor's House which are perfect for an after breakfast stroll. We actually prefer them over the Butchart Gardens.

Oh - and the breakfasts. They are amazing! Served in the inn's warm and elegant dining room, they always include fresh fruit, granola, pastry, and yogurt for starters and then you receive a plated entree of something really delicious - like a cheese souffle, eggs Benedict, salmon scramble - and the list goes on.

The inn is in the Rockland neighborhood - a bit distant from downtown attractions, but an easy 1 mile walk through a lovely neighborhood of old historic houses. Try it - I think you'll love it!
