The Fairholme Manor is a wonderful bed and breakfast. The facility itself is fantastic. It is a beautiful old house built in the late 1800s with fantastic upgrades. The room that we enjoyed included a wonderful view, a jacuzzi tub, a walk-in shower with two shower heads, and a fire place. The breakfasts, prepared by owner Sylvia, are amazing. Each day included something different such as eggs benedict, blueberry pancakes, etc., but also yogurt, homemade granola, and fresh fruit. The Manor is next door to the Government House which gives you free access to over 35 acres of beautiful gardens and ocean views of the Straits of San Juan de Fuqua. The Manor is a short drive to the downtown area of Victoria. The hosts, Ross and Sylvia, are friendly and accessible and ready to make recommendations and reservations for you are nearby restaurants. My wife and I truly enjoyed our stay, which by the way was not overpriced by any means in spite of the wonderful accommodations and food.

Room tip: Request the room with the jacuzzi and king size bed.

Our experience at Fairholme Manor was wonderful. Sylvia and Ross were amazing hosts and went above and beyond for us. We had to catch an early ferry and Sylvia left us an amazing breakfast in the fridge in our room.
The hotel itself is spectacular. The manor is a beautifully maintained heritage building, and has amazing attention to detail. The gardens were lovely, and we also took a walk through the gardens at Government House next door on our way downtown. I will make a point of booking a longer stay at Fairholme next time I come to Victoria.

This is one of the nicest places we have stayed. Sylvia and Ross are excellent
hosts. The rooms are very comfortable and nicely furnished. The breakfasts
are wonderful. The grounds are very enjoyable too. We stayed only 3 days and
wished we could have stayed longer.

Room tip: We were given the penthouse which is a one bedroom apartment which was lovely and very comfortable. A great place to relax.

What a beautiful, elegant place! We stayed a week and loved the spacious, graciously appointed large rooms. From the upscale bedding, Nespresso machine to the fresh -cut flowers, the modernized Victorian mansion couldn't have been more inviting.

And the food! Oh my...what a treat! Silvia couldn't have been more accommodating about my special dietary needs as a Celiac afflicted person. She adapted her normal menu so well, I barely noticed or knew I was not having the same dishes as everyone else.

Our whole stay was simply wonderful in every way! Can't wait to go back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at this B&B. We stayed in two separate suites, and both were superb in decoration and cleanliness. The king size beds were comfortably firm with a feather topper and luxurious linens. The breakfast was delightful, with homemade granola, fresh fruit and yogurt, scones, raspberry butter and a different egg recipe each day. The coffee cup never ran dry! It is located about 2 km from downtown, so it is definitely more peaceful! The Government House is right next door, so we walked over there and enjoyed the gardens, museum and afternoon tea at the cafe. Craigdarroch Castle is also within walking distance, and well worth the visit. If we ever return to Victoria, this will be our first choice!
