Foo is exactly the kind of place you hope to find on a visit to Victoria. The Carmel Chicken is amazing. The establishement is insanely small - perhaps only 10 chairs lining the window and kitchen. You can watch the young chefs concoct their fabulous Asian-fusion plates. Lots of sizzle, lots of flames, lots of flavor. Yes... I would absolutely come back. Only problem: very very limited seating. Might want to be prepared to order take out, and if a seat is available, then think of it as a nice bonus.
Some folks have said this place is overrated. Not sure how a hole-in-the-wall establishment can be overrated. Cheesecake Factory and Spaghetti Warehouse are overrated. Foo is very underrated, by definition of its teensy size. You really have to scour over Victoria's many small restaurants, and reviews, to even consider a visit to Foo. And for those that come, they will likely not be disappointed.
