Upon entering the Willow Stream we were introduced to Jessica who gave us a guided tour through the entire facility. Jessica was demure, soft spoken and courteous, giving us information on the rooms functions and a smattering of history along the way. After the tour we were directed to our respective change rooms while our masseuses waited just outside the door. The lockers are locked using a keypad which is a nice alternative to carrying around a key clipped to whatever appendage one has handy. Once we had showered, in the very spacious shower stalls (and a short stop in front of the TV to watch a bit of the Olympics) we were lead to the couples massage room. It was huge. We have been to a few couples massage rooms, some being so small our beds were touching, the masseuses were banging their elbows on the walls and had to side shuffle along the perimeter of the beds. This room was spacious enough to allow both masseuses to work on us between our beds, plus there was a tub in the corner, a couple chairs to lounge in and a trolley for lotions, oils and such. Huge. Everything was fantastic, the lighting, the sounds, the smells and most of all the massages. I barely had to talk, Jessica intuitively knew what I wanted, what felt good and what didn’t. If she ran over a particularly tender spot she would ease up and come back to the location softly then a little harder without being too aggressive or too reluctant. I was impressed and happy to pay the bill.
We will go back to Victoria and when we do, we will visit the Willow Stream Spa again.
