Owner description: This scenic patch of waterfront is the location of Victoria's many tourist attractions, recreational activities, restaurants and shopping. For a special treat, have afternoon tea at the grand Empress Hotel or board a ferry for a harbor tour.

My wife and I have been there many times and still always find something new to experience and enjoy. The hotels, the restaurants, the shops, the tours, the entertainment, the sites. We always consider Victoria's Inner Harbour to be our San Francisco (Fisherman's Wharf) North. Always great for a two / three day visit and a good base point if you wish to explore more of the city of Victoria.

It's a gorgeous area, rain, hail, or on a sunny day. There are a few wood carvers and local craftsmen, and the views in any direction are stunning. You tend to not do much there though, it is sort of the place you go through on the way to somewhere else, and you always seem to end up back there for some reason. And that is pretty nice.

It's a harbour with boats and tiny ferries taking you from one side to the other. In the summer you are entertained by street performers and craftspeople. The elegant Legislature on one side, the Grand Dame of the Empress Hotel on the other. And of course people-watching. A great place to poke around in. Also, close to the amazing Royal Museum.

The Inner Harbour is simply beautiful. The flowers, water taxis, yaughts and views over the stat parliamient building, the Empress Hotel, TI Centre make it the focal point of any visit to Victoria.

The centre of outdoor activity for BC Family Day. Participate at the lower level or observe from the street level.
