“Eric made this enjoyable in the pouring rain!”
Reviewed June 24, 2013

We had our final port in Victoria BC from our Alaskan cruise. We were only scheduled to be there for 4 hours, and after our ship didn't receive clearance and was held up in customs, that time dwindled down to about 2.5 hours. We didn't have anything planned for Victoria but when we got off the ship and saw the pedicabs, we knew that was our new plan. We were hooked up with Eric who honest to God is completely a riot. We learned about Emily Carr, the totem pole and the missing finger, played a game on the street (earth, wind, fire, rain), and heard great stories from him. It started to rain but he was prepared with blankets and a waterproof top blanket. I dont think my husband and I (in our early 30s) laughed our entire trip as much as we did with Eric. He really is just a funny guy and once he starts laughing its contagious!! I would highly recommend this tour, if you get Eric, ask him if hes met the members of the Asian Beetles yet!!

“Beautiful Day for a Bike Ride”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

We took a 90 minute bike tour on May 10, 2013. We were docked at the pier on a cruise ship for the day. We got off the ship and found this tour on the pier. We had to wait about 20 minutes for the driver and bike to arrive.

There were four of us; two adults and two kids. We had a double pedi cab with two of the cabs attached together. The driver explained all the places we would go and the fee for 90 minutes was $150. When I first heard that amount, I thought, OK, if we see everything he says, sounds like a good tour. We got in, one adult and kid on each bench. It was chilly and the driver gave us blankets.

There are a lot of hills in Victoria and it seemed we were going up them most of the time. The ride wasn't as smooth as I would have liked because the driver was having to pedal so deliberately to get up the hills. We first got some tidbits of information about historic houses in the area then we stopped at a general store where I grabbed a cup of coffee and some water. We continued on to a park with peacocks roaming around. A little bit into the park we stopped and the driver gave us some feed to give to the peacocks. The kids liked that. We continued on and had a bathroom break then headed around the park more. Then towards the city center with more bits of history, etc. We ended the tour in front of a chocolate store where the driver got the kids a few samples. We tipped him $20 on top of the $150 because peddling a bike up and down the hills of Victoria seems like a tough was to spend your day and he was very personable.

I liked the tour because it was a gorgeous day and it was a relaxing ride but it really didn't have enough information about the city for me.

“Pedicab”
Reviewed May 20, 2013

Andrew talked us into a pedicab ride at the NCL terminal-not bus ride to the Gardens. We took a chance and toured the old homes and gardens, castles, government houses, St Anns church and were glad we did. The conversation was wonderful and his knowledge was phenomenal.
The rain was constant but we stopped at local coffee house/store and warmed up. The local folks were very welcoming and the castle history was awesome. Thanks Andy.

“A fabulous experience and so worth the money”
Reviewed September 23, 2012

As we were walking along the waterfront in Victoria, we were approached by Andrew, who asked if he could tell us about his tours. He was so professional and knowledgable so we set up an appt for the next day. Andrew took us all over Victoria, to some of the most incredible sites and had stories along the way about it all. We would never have known the streets to see, etc that cannot be accessed by tour buses, etc. He customized our tour to what we wanted and then surprised us with some other things he knew we would like. It was the highlight of our Victoria trip!!!! The staff is soknowledgable with years of experience. Sooo worth the money spent for a glorious day!!!
