Great room to have a traditional tea. Wonderful to be around the buzz of a full room enjoying the ambiance, service and the tea.

When I reserved for afternoon tea, I was asked about allergies and was easily accommodated. We had a lovely table by the window, the service was excellent, the food was just right. It reminded me of The Empress of old. The seniors rate was most welcome. It was a pleasant way to spend a winter's afternoon.

You can just feel the ghosts of fancy ladies of days gone by. It is truly a special treat. And the live piano player is such a nice touch. And let's face it everything tastes better when it comes on fancy china and silver!

I was surprised that the serving portions is huge !!! So don't eat lunch before arriving. Make reservations way ahead of date, fills up fast on weekends. China service is outstanding.
