great photography show, native arts and culture and natural history of bc. all very good, but i really wish the attendants would try and stop people from taking pictures of other peoples' artwork, like the award-winning photos. there were signs telling people not to take photos of the photos...but folks were snapping away. there should be a larger and more pointed warning at the entrance to the display. and i would really like to see more local jewelry, arts and crafts in the gift shop. i hate being offered all the chinese crap that you can get in any souvenir shop.

Thanks for thinking about these photographers and protection of their copyright. The international symbol for 'no photography' is displayed next to each image so it would be difficult for someone to say they didn't know. Yesterday, I did not see any phones or cameras being used to take photos in the 10 minutes I was in the gallery as a visitor. But security and staff will be checking more often now based on your observation.

Not being a lover of Museums, I was dragged here with a very negative attitude, what a pleasant surprise; the exhibits were exceptional and engaging, not at any point did I wish I was elsewhere. A truly memorable few hours, although it was a cloudless, hot sunny day in Victoria, far too nice to be wandering around a museum I would repeat the experience without hesitation. A MUST without a doubt.

The standout collection was First Nations arts and crafts from the Pacific NW. I found the rest of the museum a bit sparse but the native art collection was worth the price of admission.

We love it at the Museum, it's a fun day for everyone! Right smack dab in the middle of downtown Victoria.
