“Not too big on Museums, but it was OK for what it was. Was on a schedule so I just rather zipped thru "the experience."”

Spend a few hours or a whole day. Lots to see, great shop and even get a snack. Worth the visit. Your favorite could be the native village with very moving atmosphere and of course the great mastadon.

The Royal BC Museum has many highlights, but the First Nations exhibit is really a must. Their collection of tribal artifacts such as masks, totem poles, and boats is first-rate. These are really unique items. This is a truly must-see for Victoria.

This is probably the best attraction that Victoria has to offer. Ideal for adults or families with school age children or teens. The Museum is way less touristy than other Victoria attractions and is a fun way to absorb a history lesson of the Pacific Coast.

I've heard that Vancouver, BC, would love to have this museum in its city, but hopefully they will never get their hands on it as it is uniquely part of Victoria's culture.
