One of the many benefits on becoming a new Canadian is getting the Cultural Access Pass. A must-see is the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition. Majestic, jarring, breathtaking.

I have been to other museums and nothing comes close. West Coast Native attraction is my favorite for sure. With so much to see it money well spent everytime I have visited. There is always something new to see as well as your favorites for times before. Check it out.

The RBCM is the only venue in North America chosen to display this marvellous group of photographs selected from thousands submitted from around the world, each one worth a close examination. Many of the photographers are of professional calibre, but we were surprised and pleased to discover that some were in their teens and a few were less than ten years of age. Some photographs will make you sad, others will make you angry, and others will bring a smile to your face.

I like this museum most because they change their exhibits every once and a while. The native stuff is always there but this time around they had the wildlife photography of the year. Which had some pretty amazing pics. We showed up late hour an a half before closing so the entrance cost was half off:) it was a decent amount of time to graze through everything.

We just has a fantastic day out at the museum. Haven't been for some years and the place was completely transformed. The care and attention to detail on the displays, (if you can call them that) is fantastic. Underwater display is in a Nautilis themed area, different habitats of BC and Canada shown with fantastic realistic backdrops making you feel like you are at the beach or in the rainforest. The display showing history of the gole rush, maritime development and history of the area brilliant and The Victorian village surpasses anything I have seen in Europe. Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition, as always, stunning and given plenty of space and scope. The first nations exhibition was fascinating with great displays of ancient tools and housing. The totem poles are a must of course. So much to see and the kids were really engaged the whole time. I highly recommend it and for the price it really cannot be beaten.

Tip, get here early and give yourself a whole day to really enjoy everything properly especially if you are planning on visiting the IMAX too.

Overall, really imaginatively presented a great family day out.
