We have visited this wonderful park many times when we come to Victoria. We live on the prairies so the variety of trees and plans always amazes us. Park has lots of great trails and tons of things to take pictures of. It is also close to downtown so easy to access.

If you have little children or grandchildren, this zoo should be on your list of things to do. The pygmy goats are so sweet!

This park was an easy walk from my hotel. I went in the early morning and was amazed at the abundance of ducks napping on the edges of the pond. A definite highlight for me was the blue heron nesting area. It is very green and very wild and very beautiful to walk about in.

This is just a wonderful GREEN, natural park to take a leisurely walk in. You can make it a long, walk and take a picnic lunch or just a short walk to refresh your sense right in the middle of the city. Benches all along the way, ponds for ducks and geese on their own travels, with benches close by to sit and enjoy nature during your walk. I never visit Victoria without taking the time to enjoy this lovely park and flower gardens. It is awesome. and very well maintained.

If you're looking for a place in the city to escape the city, this is it. Huge park, beatifully landscaped the a delightful little lake (or large pond). Lots of birds, including peacocks. Lots of open area and little special place (putting green, petting zoo, some great old trees). Totally free and not over run with homeless or kids with skateboards. Very easy walk from the waterfront.
