“Refreshing to walk through.”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

Visiting Victoria, it was a delight to retreat into the grounds of The large Beacon Hill Park. Its quite beautiful, with lovely flowers, bushes, a photographers delight. I loved watching the turtles lazing on a floating log at the pond. The lovely earthy green smell of earth is quite refreshing. I look forward to my next visit.

“Wonderful gardens”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

Too cute as with all Canadians the animals in this park are very friendly. There are signs everywhere not to feed them and we didn't. However, they wouldn't stop following us around. Maybe they were just naturally friendly. The gardens are wonderful and worth the walk if you can't make it to the larger B. Gardens.

“Beacon Hill Children's Farm”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

If you go to Beacon Hill Park you have to stop here, kid or not.
Husbo and I LOVED it and we didn't even pet a thing.
Photographer's dream!

The piglets were soooo tiny and funny!
I wanted to pop one in my pocket and take it home.
There were goats and kids, llamas, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbits and a huge flock of loud, obnoxious, beautiful peacocks.

We heard the peacocks when in the park and couldn't figure out what the sound was. Thought it was a cat that had killed something and brought it home to mommy and was screaming about it into a megaphone. Crazy! They were everywhere in the farm. In the trees above, on the fence by your elbow, trying to nest in the llama's hay. They were definitely the stars of the farm!

“Best thing to do with kids!”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

they had a really neat petting zoo and 'farm' for kids to see the baby farm animals. Absolutely amazing flowers and scenic walk and playgrounds for kids as well as a water park. This was disneyland to my kids without the line ups and expensive admission! Makes me want to move to Victoria!

“One of the prettiest and varied parks which is like an oasis not far from downtown.”
Reviewed May 19, 2013

Flowers trees and pools. Cool and refreshing on a hot day. Access is quite straightforward and it joins onto the oceanfront.
