Owner description: Just around the corner from Victoria's Inner Harbour, Fisherman's Wharf is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. This unique marine destination offers food kiosks, unique shops and eco-tour adventures in the heart of the working harbour. Wander down the docks with your lunch, buy seafood fresh off the boat, see moored pleasure vessels and float homes, and watch as fishing vessels unload their wares.

We walked to the Fishermans Wharf from downtown Victoria. There is a walkway all the way from the inner harbour area right to Fisherman's wharf. It was a great day to walk, hot and sunny. The nice breeze coming off the water was great. We ate lunch at the wharf, looked at the float homes and watched people feed the harbour seals. Took a harbour taxi back to the Inner Harbour. Fun way to spend a few hours in Victoria.

Great little walk to the Wharf and then when your there its a nice little place to walk around the house boats are great to see, plenty of tours available from in the wharf. Nice places to get food and walk around and then you can feed the harbour seals for a dollar. Be careful when you are doing this as seagulls do swoop in a steal the fish from your hands as my girfriend found out.

We took a water taxi from the inner harbour to here. It is about 15-20 minutes from downtown, but it was fun to take the water taxi there (we walked on the way back). Once there, you can enjoy all the floating houses. Apparently, this area used to be dodgy about 50 years back, but now it's surrounded by nice hotels and expensive condos. The houses and restaurants on the wharf still maintain a funky vibe though. We bought some fish to feed the harbour seals, which was probably the highlight. Be quick though-one girl had a fish snatched out of her hand by a seagull.

Really pretty little seaside spot a short walk from inner harbour, where you can eat Fish n Chips at Barb's, sit and soak up the atmosphere, hop on a tour or fishing boat, see a variety of houseboats, feed the seals for a dollar, walk around the pleasure boats, watch seaplanes land and take off, whatever floats your boat, so to speak! Nice, laid back way to spend an hour or so in Victoria.

I've lived in Victoria for several years and have never been until now and it's officially my new spot! Feeding the seals is amazing and shouldn't be missed, the fish shop right I front of where they hang out sells herring for $1 a fish. Please don't tease these seals, it's mean. Also don't forget that they are powerful wild animals and can soar up and and get your fingers if you bob a fish up and down in front of their face. Watch out for seagulls they will snatch the fish or poop on you.

There's many places to eat at with fabulous views! Barbs shouldn't be missed.

Also take a stroll past all of the house boats they are amazing, there's some great artist living down there!

There's also some clean bathrooms on the docks.
