This location is fabulous and the price was reasonable, but the room was very awkward. The way the furniture was arranged made the room feel small and cramped. There was a kitchenette in our room, which seemed like a good idea, but it had no counter space and so it was hard to even make a bowl of cereal. There was a small step up into the bathroom which was weird and dangerous. We kept the bathroom light on all night so no one would trip on the step in the night. There was no place to eat in the room either. The one small table was covered by the coffee maker and a lamp. There is a restaurant on the property and the kitchen opens up into the stairwell so the halls smelled like stale food. The elevator is so slow that the stairs are the default option. The worst part about staying here, is that you are surrounded by obviously nicer hotels that you will wish you had stayed at instead.

Thank you very much for your comments and we’re glad you liked the downtown location – it is something we are known for. We do have a number of room styles, many without the kitchenette or a step into the bathroom as well. Thank you again for your comments and we hope you will choose to give us an opportunity to better serve you in the future.

The staff were very nice. Though that the property had some upgrades, there was no air conditioning, which made for a hot night. I would also suggest new mattresses, as I found them hard to sleep on. Also the room was quite small, especially the bathroom.

Very disappointed with Hotel/Motel. Didn't get full value for the price paid as room/rooms didn't have air conditioning, otherwise, room was comfortable, clean and had a good view of the harbour.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review. We're happy to hear you found your room comfortable, clean and enjoyed the view of the Inner Harbour - we're sorry but we unfortunately don't have a/c for those odd unusually warm days without an ocean breeze, but we do supply in-room fans in our guest rooms. Thank you again for writing your comments and we hope you'll give us another opportunity in the future.

This hotel has an amazing location and is walking distance to many great places Victoria has to offer, however we noticed quickly location isn't everything. There was no air conditioning in the rooms, the room itself was clean but very small and the staff were friendly until we needed their assistance. The parking was absolutely ridiculous for the size of the hotel and we ended up deciding to skip tourist locations we needed to drive to for fear we wouldn't be able to get a space if we moved the car. When we asked the staff member at the front where else we could park he responded ever so helpfully with a "where ever you find a space" remark. On the other hand the restaurant had good food and good service.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are very lucky to have an ideal location where you can walk to most of what Victoria has to offer and it enables a lot of guests to park for their stay. We're sorry that wasn't the case for your stay and that the lot was busy, there is usually a high turnover and spaces always available. We thank you again for taking the time to comment and we hope you'll give us another opportunity to serve you on your next visit to our beautiful city.

very friendly and accommodating staff. Nice clean room. Only issue was the loud slamming doors.
