The Days Inn is an older hotel built probably around 1970's. Rooms are small but comfortable. Staff were friendly especially so in the restaurant. I normally wouldn't stay at this sort of hotel but my partner insisted that it was great so we did.
She wasn't wrong, the room was great and had the best views over the harbour. Location was excellent .right near the centre of the CBD. Parking included at no extra cost and a continental breakfast.
I'll definitely stay there again especially at the value for money.

We stayed here one night as a stopover before a long drive. Didn't have very high expectations, just wanted a room on the harbour. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful every time we stopped by. The room was ok, was strangely designed with a step up into the bathroom. No air conditioning, but fan provided in the room. Complimentary bottled water in the room was a welcome touch. Free self parking in the back. Good location and easy to walk to all attractions in Victoria. Wouldn't want to stay here more than one night, as it's is very noisy, but that's the price you pay for being right on the harbour only 2 floors up. I discovered a billing discrepancy when we returned home and notified them. It was taken care of quickly and courteously.

Just an average place to stay. Location is excellent. Staff is mediocre. Room doors are set to SLAM close and you hear them slamming shut all day and night.

Thank you for taking the time to write about your visit. Wonderful to hear that you enjoyed our perfect location, unfortunate to hear the guest room doors were slamming during you stay. We'll look into your surrounding guest room doors to get it fixed. Thank you again and we hope to see you again on your next stay.

My sister and I stayed at the Days Inn on the Harbour from Apr 2-5, 2012. The location and great price were why we decided to stay there and we weren't disappointed. It was my sister's first visit to Victoria and I wanted to make sure that we could enjoy it to the fullest with the least amount of inconvenience. Our room was a third floor harbour room and it had everything we needed. The room exceeded our expectations. They were clean and the beds were comfy with a wide choice of pillows. It was nice having the option of free parking even though we didn't need it. The restaurants had great food choices and the staff and service was excellent. The location of the hotel was perfect and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. As the pool was closed for the season the front desk staff called over to the Hotel Grand Pacific to see if we could use their facilities (which you can for a fee). As it was near closing time for the evening they let us use the pool at no charge. We loved everything about our stay and would highly recommend the Days Inn. I would definitely stay there again. Best value in Victoria.

Room Tip: I'd reccomment the third floor harbour view.

My husband and I booked with Black Ball Ferry Lines a special package for Memorial Day Weekend (boat trip from Port Angeles to Victoria BC, 1 night at Days Inn and trip back to Port Angeles).

I took time to choose a hotel and in the end we went for Days Inn because of the great location. Also because we understood a free continental breakfast was included.

When you look at the pictures you think you'll have a room with a view of the harbour, It turned out that the packages do not offer rooms on the harbour. When I realized that, I contacted Days Inn and asked if it was possible to have a room with a view. I received a very nice and helpful answer, saying that although packages booked through Black Ball Ferry are all based on the residential side (not mentionned anywhere on the ferry co.'s website...) they would be more than happy to put in a request for a harbour view.

When we got to the hotel, we were very grateful to get a room with a view. So we really appreciated that.

After dinner, we had a short swim in the outdoor heated pool (which wasn't the cleanest - leaves floating, dirt, etc... but still ok) and whirlpool (which was really too HOT, not possible to adjust temperature).

Walls are pretty thin. Could hear next door neighbour snoring in the night, and other side neighbours had an early start (heard their shower at 5.30 AM..., it's not so much the shower noise in itself that bothered me but the pipes seemed to be trembling - noticed that when we showered too- heat problem ?).

When we went down to the restaurant for breakfast, and asked what we wanted to order, we were confused (there was supposed to be a free continental breakfast !). Although the waiter was very kind, listened and tried to figure out the misunderstanding, the front desk told us quite bluntly that there was no breakfast included, like this was some weird idea ! When I insisted, I was told (by the same person) that, yes, breakfast is included from october to May 15th (it was May 28th). I was upset, not knowing if I had not read the package's detailed info or if it was Black Ball Ferry that didn't inform well, etc... Again, because I insisted, the front desk person said they'd call Black Ball Ferry to make sure.

We ordered our breakfast around 35 CAD with tax for 2 (the food was pretty good, and great waiter), and were later told by the front desk person that Black Ball Ferry had confirmed the breakfast deal was until May 15th...

Would we come back ? Not sure. Maybe. It is really well located, rooms are clean, modern. I just wish the front desk person would have been nicer.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your recent stay with us. I am so sorry to hear of the miscommunication, and lack of understanding, for our complimentary continental breakfast which runs in the off season. We have been in contact with BlackBall Coho ferry and they are still looking into it as well so as it doesn't happen with any future guests. We're glad you enjoyed the view from your guest room and the outdoor heated pool - with it being outdoors sometimes nature does get into too...And we hope you'll give us another opportunity with your accommodations in the future! Thank you again.
