Positives: The room was nice. Refrigerator and microwave were clean and good size. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Shower was clean, good pressure and plenty hot. Good size flat screen television. Good location. They were accommodating for our group.

Negatives: Parking is terrible. If you don't get one of the 25 or so spots in the underground garage you are left to searching around the streets for a place to park and having to move before they ticket. There are no disabled parking spots available inside the garage or outside the hotel. Not all of the spots in the parking garage can fit all types of cars so you have less spots available for trucks, vans etc..
Super loud bar crowd outside until late night/early morning.

Room Tip: Do not get a room on the side above the bar if at all possible.

Thank you Mike W for taking the time to post. It was wonderful to read that the hotel worked well for your group. In addition to having a microwave and small fridge in each room we also have some units that have kitchenettes which can come in handy for teams or larger groups staying in Victoria.
Parking in Victoria’s city center can present a challenge. We do have an underground-gated lot that can accommodate smaller vehicles but we are limited by the amount of spaces. When our lot is full front desk staff direct guests to comparably priced parking from the city, on the street or located in the secure lot beside us, underneath the public library.
We hope that we will be able to welcome you back the next time your travels bring you to the city.
Sincerely,

I have stayed with the Quality Inn multiple times, and have enjoyed each stay very much. The location is great, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service is always top notch. You can't beat the 25% off of the restaurant down the hall either. Its my only choice when planning a quick trip or vacation to Victoria!

Couldn't ask for better service, my wife had recently twisted her ankle so the hotel allowed us to park in the breeze way so she wouldn't have use the stairs, nice touch I thought. The hotel is only 2 blocks from the downtown core which means more time to enjoy the inner habour, parliament buildings, local pubs(which are plentiful I assure you) and stores galore. If your looking for a clean, safe, and affordable downtown hotel don't hesitate to give this place a try.

We stayed just one night here and found the location was perfect with a good price. Most hotels in downtown Victoria cost and arm and a leg, but the Quality Inn is right where all the action is at a decent price.
The elevator was out of action, but it wasn't a big deal. We really enjoyed our breakfast at the first floor restaurant (Argyle I think it's called).
The the pool is small and not very deep.

Thank you so much for your kind review. We are a small hotel located in the heart of the city, matching a great location with competitive pricing.
We appreciate your understanding of our elevator shut down. We look forward to reopening the unit in a few weeks and are confident that the mechanical, electrical and aesthetic upgrades will be worth the wait. This winter we have been busy updating the hotel and have also completed an upgrade to our free in room WiFi.
The breakfast in the Argyle Attic is quite popular and a discount is offered to all of our guests. The restaurant is also open for dinner and around the corner is Smiths pub if you are looking for a bit more of a casual atmosphere.
We look forward to seeing you again.
Sincerely

This hotel is very conveniently located in downtown Victoria. The front desk clerk was very nice and welcoming - even called shortly after check in to see if the room met my needs. It's nothing fancy by any means, but it's clean and reasonably priced. My only negative note would be that I felt a little unsure of security as I entered the building from an exterior door, a bit like a motel. It was locked and you needed your card to get in, so I'm likely just paranoid.

Thank you Ashley S for your review and wonderful to read that you enjoyed your stay. Our main stairwell to the guest rooms is located on the exterior of the building and equipped with a Cardlock system as well as monitored with our closed circuit video surveillance. We take the security of both our guests and employees very seriously and do security walks through the building. The stairwell entrance has the added bonus of being adjacent to our lobby windows increasing visibility of the entrance.
We hope that we will be able to welcome you back the next time your travels bring you to Victoria.
