Quality Inn Downtown Inner Harbour
Ranked #34 of 49 Hotels in Victoria
Reviewed June 15, 2012

We stayed here a few times while in Victoria, and have always liked the staff and location. A pub is right next door, so you can stop for a drink at the end of the day. The main downtown attractions are all withing walking distance. The staff is very nice, and the hotel has a laundry room-great for a long visit or trip! I would recommend this hotel anytime-just don't fill up all the rooms-I want to stay when I am in town!

Room Tip: Have a room facing the courtyard-it is on the interior, and may be a bit quieter.

Dear TravelTrioFortWayne,

Thank you for your review of the Quality Inn Downtown Inner-Harbour Victoria we are happy that you had another great stay with us. I will also let the gang at Smiths Pub know that you really appreciate the fact that you can stop by for a drink at the end of a busy day taking in all the sights around us. I should let you know they have opened the upstairs Argyle Attic now which offers all kinds of great drinks and food as well so you now have 2 choices at the end of the day.

I have also let the staff here at the hotel know that you like the way they treat you when you stay with us.

Once again thank you for taking the time out to say such good things about our hotel and staff.

Sincerely

Stayed over in Victoria at the Quality Inn booked on arrival at information centre. Not far from the harbour area. Reasonable prices with comfy rooms. All amenities in room including small kitchen area/microwave. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this hotel to other visitors.

My husband and I often stay at the Quality Inn in downtown Victoria. Over the years, both of us have had medical issues that had to be attended in Victoria. We stayed at the QI. They offer really good deals on a normal basis but if you have challenges, they will do their utmost to help. We got stuck once and they immediately found us accommodations when QI couldn't offer any. The hotel offers secure parking, it is within walking distance of pretty much everywhere including some of the best restaurants. The area where the hotel is located is across from the Courthouse and next door to the Department of Agriculture. Both empty out at 4:00 PM and are not open on the weekends thereby according you a very quiet stay. Some things have recently been upgraded (flat screen tv's) but it is comfortable the way it is. There are some very pretty walks in the area too. Just go! I highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Some rooms on the courtyard have balconies. Some rooms have kitchenettes. All have fridges! Top f...

Dear Nelliebj
Thank you for your wonderful comments and we are always happy to have you stay with us. Like you we have many guests stay with us because they have to get medical treatment here in Victoria and our location is ideal and more importantly we (the Staff) have become very aware of our gests needs and pay very close attention so that we can be of assistance. We do offer medical rates as you know and we also have our VIP (Vancouver Island Person) program that can also give you extra savings. Glad you like the new 42” LCDs and we are in the process of getting HD programming as well and hope to have that in place soon so you can really appreciate the new TVs.

We look forward to your next stay with us, once again thank you for your very kind comments.

Sincerely

We were upgraded to a jacuzzi suite with kitchenette. Very spacious room, and the jacuzzi worked fine. No issues at all with the hotel, friendly service. Only a 10 minute walk to the harbour. Highly recommended.

This is our hotel of choice when visiting Victoria from up island. The location is ideal for parking the car. Shopping and dining are very close by. Downtown and the inner harbour are a 5-10 minute walk. The rooms are large, beds are comfortable, fan is quiet, room clean, wifi fast, check in and check out are very friendly. This hotel offers us exactly what we are looking for in an affordable moderate hotel in downtown Victoria. We usually stay as a couple but this trip we had our adult daughter with us and the 2 queen bed room was comfortably big enough for the 3 of us. We stayed one night on our way to Seattle via the Coho ferry.

Thank you Loraleigh_11 for you nice comments I have already passed them on to all the staff as they deserve the pat on the back for all the hard work they do for guests like your self who appreciate our clean large rooms. As for our location it certainly is close to all the downtown sites and parks.

Also thank you for noticing the speed of the Wi-Fi as we have recently upgraded the entire system so that our guest can stream movies use skype and get there work done when staying with us which is important and I know how frustrating it can be to have slow internet.

We look forward to your next visit with us and thank you again for all your great comments.

I was referred to this hotel by a friend who had stayed at the Quality Inn Victoria a few years ago. If any of my friends were ever to ask me about places to stay at while in Victoria I would recommend this hotel at the top of the list. Within minutes of stepping outside the front doors of the hotel you can walk to the Inner Harbour, parliament buildings, great local restaurants, night spots and other local area attractions. The staff really took care of us from the minute we arrived to the time we checked out. It was a very pleasant night’s sleep that I had and a good value for the dollar.

Service was excellent, and the clerk provided some good suggestions of things to do and see while I was visiting Victoria. They stored my luggage for me initially, as I had arrived on the Victoria Clipper from Seattle and was on the island by 10:30 AM and my room wasn't ready.

The lobby's nice. The pool is small, but well-kept. The elevator's slow and old, the halls are fairly narrow and dim, and the room simple but clean. Overall, it's due for a remodel, but it's in a good location. WiFi was free and worked well.

Thank you New_Yopper for your comments and I will pass them on to the staff on how helpful they were for your time with us. We are very lucky to have a staff with such a deep knowledge of Victoria some of our staff have been with us for as much as 37 years and most of our front desk staff were born and raised here so they can certainty give you a great insight to Victoria.

I do appreciate you mentioning some of the things that could use some updating and I am happy to say we are listening, we have already put 42 inch LCD TVs in most of the rooms as well as Iphone/Ipod clock radios, single cup coffee makers will be going in this week we are also in the process of redoing our lower lobby to give it a new fresh look and I will be looking at those things you mentioned and putting into our master plan as we are constantly updating the hotel.

Once again thank you for your comments
