I traveled to Victoria with two adult sisters for a four day trip. I booked us into the Victoria Regent because the suites looked spacious. Turns out our suite was almost as big as my house! The service was great, continental breakfast was pleasant and convenient. My only complaint: the location is right on the water, and sound (boats, seaplanes, etc.) can really carry. But for us the views of the harbour made up for the noise.
After the reviews I read on Tripadvisor about the 'Victoria Regent' I was expecting some problems during our 2 night stay this summer.
Since we wanted a not too expensive hotel on the harbour we gave it a try anyway and were pleasantly surprised. We had a big, very clean and confortable room and the front desk stuff was very nice and helpful.We loved exploring the downtown area by foot. There was a little noise, it's true ...but can you have the harbour, downtown, restaurants and nightlife at your doorstep without any noise at all? Anyway, we slept heavenly and loved Victoria!
