“why stay elsewhere?”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 18, 2013

this suite we booked had water/harbor view and was huge, clean and like having your own apartment in walking distance to everything...and included breakfast; the Best Western we stayed at last nite was more expensive for half the space. This was our first nite so we cannot review the breakfast, just didn't want to miss the chance to praise the space.

Just got back from BC and think this is the review I must write.
We booked a 2 bedroom suite and got upgrade to executive one (room 307). The floor plan is just like the one on their website except the balcony is extended from dinning area all the way to the 1st bedroom.
The view for the room was great. Our room is on the south side of the building so we had a very clear view from Johnson st bridge to the BC legislature building and Fairmont. This makes us spending most of the time on the balcony instead of walking around the city.
Due to the room's layout, the air circulation was great. We really like the fresh air. I can not comment on the air condition issue since I didn't even bother to find the switch.
Everything else were up to par if not exceeded.
Some reviews complain about the noise and smell from the seaplanes. We found it's no issue, at least for us.

FYI: Along the water front and across the parking lot, there is a food stand called "red fish blue fish". The food was great but line was long...very long. We waited for almost an hour, not once, but twice. Just can not stop going back :)

Room Tip: Room 307. on south end, large balcony.

We stayed at the hotel early July 2013. We had a 2 bedroom suite, both had en suite. There was a large living room area with dining table and full kitchen. Both bedrooms led onto the balcony as did the main living area. Here is the only drawback, the balcony is a little tired and could have been cleaner. It's a fabulous location right on the inner harbour, you can watch the ferries come and go along with the sea planes landing. Continental breakfast was included and this was really good. Oatmeal, cereal, yoghurts, fruit, toast and muffins all available and as much as you want. Also the usual beverages. On the whole a great place to stay in Victoria.

Fantastic location in city on waterfront with restaurants across the road and shops minutes away. Highly recommend Indian restaurant across the hotel. Few minutes walk to Parliament buildings, Empress Hotel and everywhere. Large room and bathroom. No aircon in our room so can be a little noisy when windows open. Understand those facing the city has aircon though..
Pillows were too high.

Victoria is blessed with many wonderful accommodation options that appeal top any type of traveler. One of those is clearly the Regent. The location is second to none - with amazing vistas of the inner harbor as well as being walkable to pretty much anywhere in the downtown. There are a number of different room options to choose from. I actually live in Victoria and spent a night there as a little escape with my wife. We loved everything about it. We also have attended functions in some of the suites and the service was excellent. The Regent is a gem among gems in Victoria!

Went for a golfing/fishing trip with the boys, was a business trip so didn't have to pay. But the hotel was perfect for what we needed, there were 4 queen beds and 2 baths in room with kitchenette and a balcony. Staff was accommodating and the breakfast that came with the room was pretty good too. The location was great as we were close to a lot of great places to eat and water taxi was easy access as well. The main use of room was to sleep and clean up, the beds were comfortable and rooms were quiet. We are thinking of going back as a family next time and this rrom would be great for our two teenagers.

We have stayed at many properties in Victoria however this property exceeded our expectations and we will stay here whenever we go back. We had the need for a 2 bedroom/2 bath property because of company and the unit was beautiful - right on the waterfront with a wrap around deck, dining table outside and sofas outside. The views were beautiful. The suite was very clean and inviting with 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths, kitchen table for 5, 2 living rooms with sofa beds that pull out and a desk. I ended up working from the room while the others enjoyed the sights of Victoria and it was a very relaxing and inviting property to work from the desk that they provided. Very small breakfast room with continental breakfast items included in the room price however if ou wish a more substantial meal - there are many restaurants to visit nearby to the property. The views from this property are spectacular & we did not want to live - Plan on returning very soon!
