Quiet & Homey

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Aug 29, 2019
The Royal Scot is a cute little hotel one block from the harbor. As such, it's quiet with little noise or light disturbing your sleep (save for the odd tour bus or horse drawn carriage). The grounds are well manicured, the lobby is cozy. As much as I wanted to give this property an excellent rating there are a couple of issues that the management team should address. First, the halls need to be cleaned to rid the carpet of a faint, musty odor. I know housekeeping is busy, but it's one of the first impressions your guests have. Second, hospitality starts with people and people respond to leadership. Your customer service will improve if you lead properly.

We were on a bus tour and this was the hotel we stayed at. Close to Inner Harbour, walking distance to many restaurant. We stayed in a room that was like a two bedroom spilt by a wall. Room had more furniture than needed. Room was clean, staff friendly. Have fun

This is a beautiful, quiet place to stay in Victoria. It is only one block from the ferries and within walking distance of The Visitor’s Center and several places of interest. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly. We spent our 40th anniversary there, and were surprised to be upgraded to a manor suite that was beautiful and spacious. I highly recommend Royal Scot Inn and Suites!

Royal Scot Hotel is a great place to stay. Each room is slightly different in configuration, but roomy! My room had a separate seating area with couch and chair. Hotel is located near the water and many activities including the museum.

We booked here for three nights mid week and received a very good rate for a suite. We were able to enjoy breakfast in our room. The facility has an indoor poor, games rooms and laundry facilities. They also provide complimentary coffee in the lobby each morning. There is also an in house restaurant Jonathan's open from morning until 8 pm. They have a wonderful gift store and parking for a fee ($15 daily) is available. Our suite had a nice balcony as well. The do not have AC but they did have two fans in our suite which we put to good use. We found the staff to be helpful. It is a half a block from the Legislature building and 1 1/12 blocks to the inner harbour. We were able to walk to most places during our stay.

Stayed as part of a tour, we were actually greeted and piped in by an actual Scottish piper! Had problem with luggage that needed to be resolved urgently (due to being on a tour), they assisted in sorting it out.Nothing was a problem. Room was nice and hotel is within easy walking distance of the harbour sites and the CBD. They also offer a free shuttle service - bonus!!
