This is a lovely, European style hotel. Two min. walk to ferry dock, 5 min. walk to museums, The Empress Hotel, museum and parliament building. Very helpful staff, charming room, nice indoor pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, work out room. Nice little restaurant and bar in lobby. Highly recommend.

We just stayed for three nights in a One bedroom suite and it was a wonderful stay! We will definitely be back! The kitchen made it easy with the kids and the location was great - we could walk to everything. The room was immaculate, the staff were great and the kids loved the pool! What more could you ask for?

Its a big impersonal hotel. The location is excellent, near the wharf and in a quiet street. The beds are okay, large tv, okay bathroom. Every morning there is a newspaper in front of your door. Nice staff. Its just a normal hotel, nothing special, but also nothing very wrong. It was a large room, with a fridge (very handy!). On the last day however i found several silverfish in my bathroom. a very large one and multiple little ones. That sort of freaked me out because it you take them home accidentally, you have a plague in your home in no time. So now i have to think about that when i get home, which is a shame. So, thats a big downer for me.

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. It was great to see that you enjoyed the amenties in your room and our location.
I was quite concerned to see your remarks about the silverfish. I do apologize for the discomfort this caused and will discuss this with our pest control company the next time they are in.
I did a little research on silverfish, and from what I can gather, you really should not have to worry about them following you home, so you may rest easy.
If you would like to contact me directly about this, you may reach me at ggreene@royalscot.com

We stayed here for a couple of nights in June 2012. Location was excellent for us, right in the middle of town and walking distance to the main harbour, Fairmont, Parliament etc. We arrived in Victoria from Seattle on the Victoria clipper, and the hotel was an easy walk from the wharf. It is also right near the bus station as well, if you are arriving/departing via bus.

Our room was a quiet and large (separate bedroom and dining/living area) and even came with a kitchen. Everything was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Victoria.

The Royal Scot is a convenient location to stay when visiting Victoria. The rooms are clean, very nice with a competent and welcoming hotel staff. Shuttle rides to most downtown locations are provided by the hotel but many locations are an easy walk. I can easily recommend this hotel for a wide variety of travelers and traveler needs.

Room Tip: a balcony room guest suite is great, kitchen facilities, separate bedroom, etc.

I have been staying at the Royal Scot on most trips to Victoria over the last 20 years. On my recent stay I was pleased to be upgraded to a 1 bedroom suite. The location is excellent with close proximity to the parliament buildings and museum and just a leisurely walk to the downtown core. The hotel is furnished in a traditional manner and is regularly updated and refreshed. The staff are friendly and helpful. The housekeeping standards are consistently high. The restaurant is reasonable and there are also many other good restaurants within a very short walk.

On a quiet street, close to the Victoria Clipper and the Black Ball Ferry terminals, the Royal Scot offers plenty of value for the budget-minded traveller with family in tow. Clean, simply appointed suites, friendly staff and free in-room Internet access (why can't the high-end chains figure this one out?) made a great base for a weekend in Victoria. We look forward to returning to the Royal Scot in the future!
