“Great location. Excellent service”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

We had guests from the UK and chose to visit Victoria. No hesitation at all to place a call to Laurel Point for rooms and received the always welcome response. Checked in with no problems and lots of smiles. Rooms were great. View of the harbour outstanding. This is a super place to stay and within walking distance of everything in downtown Victoria

Room Tip: Enjoy a leisurely walk from the hotel to downtown via the inner harbour walkway

Just returned from Canada and stayed at this great hotel when we travelled to Vancouver Island. Paid extra to stay in Erickson Wing as views were of the harbour. After rejecting our first room offered on the 3rd floor overlooking the car turning circle and the inner harbour, (not happy !), we were then offered a room on the 5th floor overlooking outer harbour and Japanese gardens. It was Fantastic, the room was great and very stylish and roomy. Excellent balcony with sun lounger and chairs. Seaplanes taking off in front of hotel and ferry to Seattle sailing by. It was just bliss sitting on balcony watching the sun go down and boats, planes etc passing by, ! Fisherman s Wharf couple of mins walk away, great place to wander and have a drink and meal. Main town about 15 mins stroll, nice walk along the waters edge. We loved Victoria and this hotel just made it perfect.

Room Tip: If staying in Erickson Wing then make sure you are overlooking Japanese gardens. This ensures you ar...

We were on a tour so must have been in the Laurel wing as our room was only standard. The bathroom was small and in need of an update. The balcony was also small, no chairs, and very dirty but we had a view through the trees of the harbour.
Breakfast was average. The staff were friendly and helpful but if I stayed there again I would ask for a room in the new wing.
It was a pleasant walk to downtown Victoria around the harbour.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the new wing.

My husband and I spent 1 night here to celebrate our 40th. anniversary. Our room was a studio suite on the 5 th floor of the Erickson wing, with an absolutely lovely view of the outer harbour. I had mentioned our anniversary when booking, but was still suprised when the front desk clerk congratulated us and also provided us with a card from the manager for a complimentary desert to celebrate. A very nice gesture. The room was spotlessly clean, with lovely modern decor, and gorgeous bathroom. Just perfect for a celebration. There was actually a wedding taking place that night, and what a beautiful spot to get married in. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: The newer Erickson wing is worth the splurge

My wife and I stayed at the Inn at Laurel Point for a couple of days at the end of a longer trip to Canada and Vancouver Island. It was a treat to stay there as the finale to our trip and we were really well looked after by friendly, efficient and helpful staff who could not have done more for us. A harbour view room was not available when we booked in, but we were moved to the harbour side of the hotel for our second night without any question or fuss. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable and include all the facilities you would expect. The restaurant was excellent and both breakfast & dinner first class. The restaurant staff were friendly and knowledgeable and seemed always to have time to stop and chat, even during a bury service. Would recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Some rooms have better views than others, so (if you want one) ask for a harbour view.

My daughter and I spent two wonderful nights at this lovely hotel. Our garden suite with its two comfortable beds and chaise was on a par with some of the top hotels I have experienced world wide. The staff was excellent and we felt we had new friends. Dinner for the family in the dining room was excellent. Have plans to repeat the visit next month.

Room Tip: Newer rooms in the Erikson wing are a good choice

The service at this hotel blew me away! The staff are all wonderful, from the porters to the front desk, to the cleaning staff.

The halls are very spacious and full or peculiar art; but are interesting to browse. The rooms are very clean and have been mostly updated, however a few bits (tables, chairs, etc.) could use an update. It didn't bother me though, as the views, amenities and amazing service made this one of the best stays that I've had.

I'd pay the extra and get a room with a view over the harbour - it was the most beautiful sunset I may have ever seen! The running trails are perfect, and you're a quick 10 minute (maximum) walk from the scene downtown.
