My daughter and I stayed two nights and loved the size and cleanliness of the room and the ambience of the hotel. We were given a lovely cheese platter on arrival, plus a nice welcome.
The hotel is in walking distance of everything inner harbour, imax, fine dining, although the restaurant and coffee shop as you enter the hotel are really good. We would stay there again as we got good value and service compared to other hotels in the area. If you want a swiming pool you will have to choose another hotel but they give you free access to a gym.

Room Tip: Higher floors are recommended.

Immaculate room with good vibes and a heated bathroom floor! Charming, professional, and helpful staff. The adjoining restaurant (tapas style) was genuinely fantastic. I'll never stay anywhere else in Victoria. It would only be a let down after this lovely experience.

Great few days stay in lovely boutique hotel. Large clean upgraded superior king size room with a huge bath and fab deep double bath. Reception staff couldn't have been more helpful, friendly and conscientious-nothing was too much trouble - they alone would bring us back to this central hotel. Great breakfasts. Trendy tapas bar downstairs also good if you can get past ALL the snooty staff with the exception of Samantha who was lovely. We would stay in this hotel in a heartbeat.

My wife and I had an excellent time at the Hotel Rialto. The rooms were clean, modern, and spacious, and the staff was friendly and capable. The on-site restaurant is outstanding, and the complimentary cheese platter is a nice touch that we appreciated. Parking was hassle-free ... No continental breakfast, but a nice deal was given on the breakfast options in the cafe, also on-site. If you want to stay in downtown Victoria and are not worried about the lack of a pool, then this is the place to be!

This is a hidden jewel in Victoria. The location and price make this a great place to stay in downtown Victoria . It's a short walk to the harbour area along government street. Very clean , safe area. If you walk along Douglas you will see some homeless.
Like most boutique hotels , finding parking to check in can be a problem. Victoria has quite a few one way streets so this makes it a bit harder on the Rialto. There is 2 entrances to the hotel . One off Pandora and the other off Douglas. We found the Douglas st was always empty during our stay. Once in the lobby the hotels shines , from the professional staff to the renovated interior. The check in process went really smooth. Our room was very nice on the 2 nd floor , room 206. It's in the back with a view into the hidden court yards. Very quiet location , we never heard any street noise or hotel guest noise . The king bed was great , a firmer pillow would have been nice .
Bathroom was large with a heated floor ( very nice touch) . The 2 person jacuzzi tub was fun , with a separate shower stall . A larger shower stall would have been nice .
The cafe off the lobby was very good. We would eat there even if we didn't stay at the hotel. Price and quality was very good, with a very smooth but rich tasting blend of coffee.
For the evening they have a tapa bar Veneto, we both had head colds so we had take out to our room and really enjoyed the food . They are known for there Tapa's and specialty drinks . Well worth a visit.
The only draw back to this hotel in my opinion is the parking for guests . I'm from the Victoria area so the one way roads don't bother me . For a guest that doesn't drive many city's with one way street will have a bit of a problem getting to the entrance to the secured parking area . It's a very short walk back to the hotel from the parking area but driving to the lot you would think it was blocks away, because of the way Victoria does there one way streets in the downtown area .
We will stay here for sure on our next visit to Victoria. It's location and price for a very high quality room is worth the parking hassles and walking distance to the touristy area of the harbour.

Stayed at Hotel Rialto recently for a couple nights while in Victoria visiting family. We were upgraded upon arrival to a lovely room with a king size bed and huge bathroom with corner tub, big window and heated floor. The room was decorated simply and tastefully and was clean and well supplied. Unfortunately, our first night was somewhat marred by some noisy guests next door, but we had a great sleep on our second night. Guests are offered some nice extras - 10% off at the beer and wine store next door, breakfast coffee/pastry at the cafe downstairs, cheese plate in the lounge. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were glad we tried Hotel Rialto, and felt it was an excellent value. Would definitely stay again.

This place was wonderful. The room was so comfortable it was easily the best sleep I'd ever had in a hotel room - EVER! The staff was very friendly and even though I couldn't check in early as I'd hoped I could - they did try to get my room ready as fast as possible. There is a WONDERFUL breakfast place 1/2 block up the street (very crowded on weekends) but worth the wait.

Room Tip: I had a suite and it was wonderful!
