I went into the cafe not knowing what to expect but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The Eiffel Tower French toast with yoghurt and fruit was lovely. The coffee was yummy too.

Realistically I could had a comparable Eggs Benny at a Denny's. The hollandaise tasted like it had come from a packaged sauce mix. The smoked salmon lacked the smoke flavor. The portions were tiny compared to the other cafes we visited, yet at virtually the same price. The staff was hit and miss, one being near rude, the next quite nice. Over all....not impressed.

Went for brunch on a Saturday at 9:30. Lots of seating at that time but the main dining area and adjoining annex filled quickly. With all the traffic in and out the entry door, the main dining room got a bit cool. If its a chilly day try for a table further from the door. The Decadent Granola with yogurt was tasty and a large serving. The Croc Madame was also enjoyable. The Fort Street location has a bit nicer atmosphere but both locations are good brunch options. Blanchard location is in the central business core, Fort Street location about a 15 to 20 minute walk away.

Fun atmosphere. The food tastes home cooked and is pretty inexpensive. There is usually a line up on the weekend however the Fort Street location has lots of outdoor seating on nice days.

Shine was like a breath of fresh air after having spent a holiday in Miami, Florida surrounded by tacos, burgers, fries and pizza.

Great for breakfast as eggs are the speciality. Particularly Eggs Benedict. But for other freshly prepared meals there is plenty of choice.

As an (almost) vegetarian, my "veggie burger" was made with a real veggie pattie that had been actually made in their kitchen and not taken from a packet in the freezer section of a supermarket. Real food at last!

The service was fast and friendly although this place gets busy at peak times so be prepared to wait if you really want to enjoy good and simple food at a lovely cafe located just five to ten minutes from downtown Victoria.
