For some unknown reason I always seem to end up at neat old cemeteries when I travel. This one I came across unwittingly, at the half way point of my morning run along Dallas Road. I took the time to wander through the older grave sites, some dating to the early 1800's I believe. Interesting quiet place to reflect on how lucky we are.

Worth a look if you have time. It is at the end of a lovely stroll along the waterfront of the Dallas Road. Good for history buffs or if it is a nice day.

Not that far from Fairfield and a the shopping center this cemetary sits next to Juan de Fuca Straight. Guided tours are on offer and it houses many lovely trees. Look for the grave of Emily Carr and William Fraser Tolmie. A quiet place to read poetry.

Had a great photoshoot a number of years ago on Halloween here. Old gravestones and spiderwebs! One of the oldest Cemeteries around.
