This was our first time at Beaconsfield Inn and our first time staying at a Bed and Breakfast. Three nights and three days and we certainly were spoiled my the generosity, friendly and informative staff. Upon arrival, the staff upgraded our room due to flooding in the one we had reserved. To our delight, the room was spectacular. Goose-down comforters, fireplace, stained-glass windows, antique decor and Jacuzzi bath tub and full shower. The room had the aroma of fresh lavender which was refreshing and tranquil. Our mornings started with a light, gourmet three-course breakfast served in the Inn's bright sunroom with a view of the beautiful foliage. Our table for two kept our breakfast cozy romantic. We very much enjoyed our stay at this elegant and exquisite inn. The only down side is we had to leave. We highly recommend the Beaconsfield Inn.

We had 2 nights here and the breakfasts are fantastic although if we were staying longer I would be worrying about my waistline! Nothing was too much trouble for Gary and Warren and they helped us with booking a whale watching tour for the kids. The inn is within easy walking distance of downtown and we had the gate keepers suite which was perfect for us with 2 children and easy access from the car park for luggage transfer. The shower was also huge in the gate keepers suite and we appreciated the fridge and extra sink. Gary and Warren make this a destination, without them it would be another inconsequential ' heritage ' inn. Thoroughly recommend.

Our stay at the Beaconsfield was top-notch due to the high quality attention and service from Gary and Warren! They provided excellent tips on where to go/what to see. They went above and beyond by arranging transportation from a local tour even though we had not booked through the Inn. The breakfasts were comparable to a four star hotel, while in a more personable environment. The Inn is in a perfect location for walking to several attractions -- Inner Harbour, Chinatown, Craigdarroch Castle, Beacon Hill Park -- as well as some of the quaint neighborhoods (Cook Street was great for getting off the tourist track!). The Duchess Room is a bit noisy in summer while the windows are open. It is on the corner of a busy street. If we have the opportunity to return while Gary and Warren are at the helm (fingers crossed!), we would do more research on where the other rooms are located.

Room Tip: Duchess room in summer (when windows are open) is a bit noisy from traffic.

From the moment we walked in the door we were treated royally. My daughter and I booked a four night stay based on previous reviews and we were not disappointed! The room and service we received were even better than pictured or anticipated. We eagerly looked forward to the delicious gourmet breakfast every morning, and made sure we were always back on time for homemade tea and cookies! Sherry hour was appreciated too! We always loved coming back to our SPOTLESS and cozy room and were grateful for the bottled water as we did a lot of walking. Gary and Warren were gracious hosts and we always enjoyed running into them. They always made us feel welcome and we noticed they paid attention to every small detail. LOVE,LOVE,LOVE this place. We were sad to leave and can't wait to return. We did not rent a car which was not a problem. We were within walking distance of a beautiful park and found good places to eat nearby. Marg/Kristen

When booking accommodations through a website, one learns to expect that things may not be "exactly as illustrated". Though we know better, we did have fairly high expectations for the Beaconsfield Inn; positive reviews and ratings all fueled our anticipation.

The reality of our experience surpassed all expectations! Websites and brochures cannot adequately describe this B&B - it is apparent from the moment that you arrive, Warren, Gary, and staff are fully committed to embracing you as part of their family; the care and attention to every detail was amazing, and their pride and pleasure shines through all that they do!

The only 'downside' is, it's tough to want to leave . . .

Room Tip: All of the rooms are beautiful, and have a different layout to suit sleeping requirements.

Gary and Warren are the fabulous hosts of this beautiful B&B. I booked 3 nights here as a birthday treat for my daughter on our travels in the NW. The furnishings and decor are beautiful and the open fires in the bedrooms just add to the luxurious, restful feel of the whole house. The sherry hour, breakfast, cakes are all lovely touches. The help from the hosts in sorting out problems and making recommendations for trips, restaurants etc just added to the great few days we had at the end of a lovely holiday. We shall definitely be seeking out Gary and Warren again - hoping that they manage to retain the management of the Beaconsfield under the recent changes.

My daughter and I enjoyed 3 nights in this wonderful B&B. Gary and Warren are fabulous hosts and breakfast is a delight! We loved our room, the fire we were able to have in our bedroom in the evening, the sherry at 6 in the library and the afternoon cakes. Gary and Warren also make great recommendations for restaurants and things to do, one of my bookings turned a bit pear- shaped and they sorted the whole thing out for me - all over and above what you'd normally get in a B&B! While there the house had been sold I do hope they are able to keep running it as it is - it would be such a pity to lose this lovely gem of a place! However if they do move We will be looking out for their new venture and visiting them again! (And Mindy of course their lovely fluffy companion!) The whole experience just added to what had already been an amazing holiday.
