The hosts, Gary & Warren were exceptional, meeting all our needs and even booking a wonderful reservation at Butchart Gardens that included a fantastic dinner. The breakfast each day was at least 3 courses and 5 star all the way. The house and garden are well kept and clean. The neighborhood and location is perfect for walking into downtown. We loved your stay at the Beaconsfield Inn and will definitely return!

Beaconsfield is everything a B&B should be!  Gary and Warren do a great job of looking after very detail and are very personable.  The property is an historic treasure, well-maintained and true to the Victorian period. A wonderful experience that I'd recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: The Parlour Room was bright and sunny with a great view of the front gardens.

We stayed 2 nights in this lovely Inn, the hosts were very welcoming and always ready to help. We had a comfortable large bed and enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts! We also enjoyed the sherry in the library and chatting to the other guests. The Inn was a short walk from the Parliament buildings set on a nice quite road. Our hosts organised a whale watching trip for us which was an highlight of our trip to beautiful Victoria. Overall we were very happy with our choice and had a great time in Victoria.

Warren and Gary paid close attention to every detail to make your stay as comfortable and personable as possible. From the delicious breakfast to the relaxed sherry time in the library, there was opportunity to plan our day. Any suggestion by our hosts turned out great. The rooms were beautifully furnished and decorated. The grounds were beautiful and the inn was majestic. We felt very safe here. You will not be disappointed staying here. Walkable distance to inner harbour and the wharf.

We spent our first night on Vancouver Island at the Beaconsfield Inn, before heading off to Tofino. Our room was the Duchess and it was very spacious and well appointed, with two comfortable chairs and a fireplace. Wifi is also available, which we're glad to see is pretty standard nowadays.

The location was about a 15 minute walk (according to our GPS) from downtown. This worked out nicely as the weather was great for walking.

The bathroom was also quite spacious though the high step into the tub to use the shower can be dicey if you're not careful. We had read somewhere that another reviewer had trouble with the water taps for the shower and we thought that was silly... but sure enough, we found it to be a strange contraption. We don't know how we turned it off. There was a bit of a funky smell coming from the washroom as well but I suspect it's a combination of the age of the house and the high humidity, not an issue with cleanliness.

Breakfast was a two course meal. First course was a small bowl of fruit with a citrus and honey syrup and the second course was a soufflé with fruit sauce. Both were good and it was a nice way to start the day. Service was excellent as my coffee cup was never empty.
