I stayed here for 2 nights in July based on the reviews here.
The hotel is small and has a nice location just a few blocks away from downtown which gives it a nice private feel. The room we had was spacious and comfortable and the breakfasts in the morning were very good with a few delicious options. The front desk were eager to help plan sightseeing trips and were helpful with restaurant selections. Overall we couldn't have picked a better place to stay.

We stayed at Abigail’s for three nights July 16-18 2013 after reading the many positive online reviews – all of which are well deserved.

Abigail’s Hotel is a small boutique bed and breakfast hotel, located on a cul-de-sac in a very nice residential area of downtown Victoria and close to the attractions of the Inner Harbour.

The room was very comfortable and nicely appointed and the complementary gourmet breakfast was very substantial and beautifully prepared.

The free parking, behind the hotel was very convenient for our day trips to Butchart Gardens and Sooke. The front desk staff kindly “Googled” us directions for our return journeys.

We particularly enjoyed the very nice outdoor patio for afternoon refreshments.

The staff of the hotel couldn’t be more helpful and courteous. The overall ambiance is very homey and every effort has been made to ensure that their guests are comfortable.

We would highly recommend Abigail’s for a comfortable stay in Victoria.

Abigail's is a small hotel and a great place to stay in Victoria. The rooms are very homey and not like staying in a big hotel. You can walk to everywhere in Victoria city proper but the location is very residential, surrounded by trees and at the end of a cul de sac. The room comes with a breakfast that is not to miss!

Room Tip: You can see the rooms on-line. They're all very nice.

We had high expectations, having read the many glowing reviews, and were not disappointed. Abigail's is interesting, individual and welcoming. Our room was comfortable, the staff were pleasant and efficient and the breakfasts fantastic. Many nice little touches: coffee machine for use at any time (possibly the only good strong coffee I had in a hotel during our 2 week stay in Canada) in the hall, appetisers late afternoon which we ate with a glass of wine listening to music on the patio, muffins to help oneself to, homemade biscuits in the room. Lovely cosy library. Easy parking and within walking distance of the centre of Victoria. Would recommend this hotel unreservedly.

We had a wonderful but all-too-short stay at Abigail's. We arrived on the early morning ferry from Port Angeles so our room was not ready when we checked in, but the staff was still very gracious, allowing us to park in the lot and giving us a map and walking directions to a local breakfast spot. When we returned that afternoon we were shown to the Foxglove Room, which was strikingly beautiful, with an enormous bed (that required stairs to reach), leather couch, wood-burning fireplace, and an enormous, well-appointed bathroom. There were also modern amenities like a hair-dryer and an iPod docking station.

The staff that afternoon set up a manicure appointment for us at their local spot (the spa adjoining Abigail's was booked up) and really went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. We had to rush out the door the next morning to catch the Vancouver ferry, but we were still able to grab some coffee to go, a couple of delicious cheddar scones (my partner called it the best scone he ever had), and they offered to send more food with us.

If I came back to Victoria, I would definitely stay at Abigail's again, but one night really doesn't do it justice. We were in Victoria during perfect weather, so we spent as much time as possible outside wandering the city. Returning to Abigail's in the winter may be best, since once you check in you'll really want to stay there, cuddle up with a loved one and relax.

Room Tip: The Foxglove Room is gorgeous, with a wood-burning fireplace, leather couch, and huge bathroom.

Loved the decor, loved the freindly service, loved the michelin standard breakfast, and loved the free tapas in the afternoon. Everything perfect, if you dont mind a little walking to downtown. This place is absolutely worth every cent.

I booked the hotel for my father so he could surprise my mother for their 50th anniversary extended celebration.

Hotel staff was wonderful on phone and took the time to answer all my questions and assure that everything would be perfect for their two night stay.

Upon arrival we received a tour of the main building prior to settling my parents into their room.

A complimentary bottle of wine and a nice card was waiting for them in their room.

Their room was perfect and immaculate. I really wanted to take advantage of their huge tub but my parents kicked us out to enjoy their wine and fireplace!

My parents loved everything about the place - the room, breakfasts, appetizers and attentive staff who went above and beyond to insure that any question or small need was promptly met.

Staff was more than patient with my son and I, as well, since we had to call several times to be put through to their room while we coordinated various things from another hotel in town.

They took my license plate number and allowed me to park on site to pick my parents up and drop them off as needed.

It is a bit pricy which is why my son and I stayed elsewhere but well worth it if you are looking for a plush romantic getaway and A++ service.
