Hotel Grand Pacific
Ranked #13 of 49 Hotels in Victoria
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed September 4, 2012

We stayed at the Hotel Grand Pacific on the long week-end. The outside is very impressive, like a modern age CP/Fairmount hotel from the past. The lobby was clean, the check in was painless, professional, and quick.
The room was classic, crown moulding, comfotable king bed, good linens, blackout curtains.
I cannot offer one shortcoming, everything was very, very good.
These people are good at their business, better than most. Would go back in a heartbeat, location and views were fantastic.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

G.W.

Loved our stay...had a harbor view suite that was a lovely and comfortable room for the price. Did not eat at the hotel so cant comment on the food. Friendly and helpful staff. We are adding this to our favorites!

Made an unscheduled trip to Victoria to see two of our grandchildren play in the Canadian Ultimate Frisbee Championships. Booked a hotel on a discount internet site and were thrilled to learn that we had reservations at this hotel. It met all of our expectations and more.
The location is absolutely stellar...overlooking the harbour and within walking distance of several excellent restaurants. It was a 15 minute drive to the tournament fields.
The hotel is a "grand" hotel in the tradition of the railway hotels of old..beautiful wood, marble floors, elegant foyer. It is, as well, immaculately maintained. There is a spa, as well, but book early if you need an appointment. The dining room prices were a little steep, but there is a little coffee shop on the lower level where you can pick up a quick snack at fairly competitive prices. There is a very fine patio across the harbour with excellent food where you can eat outdoors in fine weather.
Our room was not overly large, but the double beds were huge and extremely comfortable.
The weather was in the 30 degree Farenheit range while we visited, so the air conditioning,
while a little cool for my liking, was welcome. As one would expect, everything was immaculate.
Our only disappointment was that our little balcony faced, not the harbour, but the roof of the swimming pool.
Staff was, without exception, genuinely friendly and helpful. I called down for a couple of items, and they were delivered within 15 minutes.
In short, we were made to feel like royalty for our entire stay, even when I staggered in from our car to check in, tired and grubby, after a three day marathon drive.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the harbour.

My friend and I made a quick trip to Victoria at summer's end. We were delighted with our hotel and room. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a gorgeous suite with two balconies, one for enjoying the sunset over the Olympic Mountains in the distance and another giving us a front row seat to watch all the fun activity of the Inner Harbour. The room was immaculate. The beds were comfortable with wonderful soft linens. We had a hard time leaving the room! Upon check-out, the staff kindly held our luggage. We enjoyed another hour in the comfortable lobby when we were exhausted from our mini-vacation and waited for our ferry to arrive.

Room Tip: Our corner suite was fantastic on the 4th floor. Book 4th or higher.

Highly recommend this hotel in Victoria, BC. Double beds are comfy and same size as US queens. You won't be disappointed!

Very nice room. Cost about $159 for the night. Room had a balcony overlooking the bay so you could watch seaplanes coming and going, water taxies, and ferry boats. Room was very clean and beds were comfortable. It was a quiet place and very comfortable.
