I did not know what to expect with this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised from the moment we arrived. Check in took 5 minutes, staff was awesome and efficient, and the room was great; large, comfortable and clean. Best beds ever! We booked a signature double queen with full bay view and the extra $ was well worth it. The room was quite, turn down service at night was a nice touch and the evening snacks and morning breakfast saved some us some money on meals. We can not wait to go back and will definately stay at the Delta again and again. Oh, and did I mention the free hotel shuttle into town? Although close enough to walk over a short bridge, the shuttle was nice. And watching the ducks with their babies outside our window was so sweet. I LOVE VICTORIA!

Only stayed for one night but the hotel was nice, clean and in a good location. I think it was a bit over-piced for what you get though.

I just realised that I hadn't posted a review on this excellent hotel. My husband and I spent three nights here last summer.

The check in staff were accommodating, efficient and pleasant. Our balcony room on the club floor had a very comfy bed and pleasant furnishings. We were able to sit in our room, sip on our preferred drink and watch the seaplanes and other assorted harbour traffic in the busy harbour. The view across to the historic hotel and parliament at night was stunning.

The included breakfast in the club lounge with outdoor terrace was fresh and adequate. Unfortunately the menu in the restaurant was limited, we would have preferred to eat in but strolled out to one of the harbourside restaurants where we were able to shooe the more simple fare we wanted after a few weeks of travel.

Although it was a short walk from city centre this hotel was on the hop-on hop-off bus route for which we bought a two day ticket.

We spent 4 nights here during late March/early April and had a wonderful stay with our 2 children. It was off season so the rate was very good for this quality and service level of hotel. The hotel is in a very nice location and there's nice trails for jogging or walking just outside. It's located across the harbour from all the attractions, restaurants and shops but it's an easy walk across the bridge to get to them.

We had one of their basic rooms with 2 queen beds, no special view or anything but it served it's purpose for us. The room was spacious, clean and the bedding was very good. We had room service one of the evenings and the food was good.

Travel tip: From the airport you can take a shuttle to the hotel. If you have 4 people in your group, the cost for a taxi is only slightly more but the taxi will get you to the hotel faster because the shuttle usually makes a number of stops. However, if you have more than 3 large pieces of luggage, the shuttle may be your best choice because most Victoria taxi's are quite small unless you request a van. We spent our stay around the downtown/harbour area so we just walked everywhere, no need to rent a car unless you feel you have to drive (old habits are hard to break) or plan on travelling outside of Victoria. They also have buses that can get you to most attractions.

The staff was wonderful, to say the least. The front desk agent upgraded our room to a Signature room, which gave us continental breakfast and hors doevres each evening and access to drinks during the day. Saved us some extra $$. The concierges were extremely helpful when planning outings. The location was amazing. Just a 5-10 min walk to all the restaurants and shopping we wanted. Definitely go for a harbor view and signature room. The pool, hot tub and fitness center were great for relaxation too. Would absolutely stay here again. Only wish the rooms had jacuzzi tubs so I could take a relaxing bath. Our room also had a kitchenette. We didn't cook, but used the fridge for drinks. Room was spacious with huge windows. The curtains block all the light out in the morning. Gorgeous view.

Stayed for 3 nights in a fairly spacious 300 square foot Harbour View room with 2 queen beds. Friendly staff and the property is well maintained considering it is 16 years old, thought it was about 5 to 10 years old. 3 elevators for 8 floors so not much waiting around for an elevator. The hotel is located a short walk across the Johnson Street brige to downtown Victoria, the hotel offers a shuttle service to the Downtown area.
There is a nice walkway along the Harbour front that is very quiet as this is on the edge of a residential condo area. There is plenty to see happening in the Harbour including seaplanes, views of the Parliment Buildings and Empress Hotel. There is a nice lounge and they have great martinis. The restaurant is nice but expensive.
Overall enjoyed the Hotel and the grandchildren loved the pool. This is very much a family hotel with lots of kids running up and down the hallways and in the pool most of the time. The pool and spa is open 24 hours. The spa/hot tub did not appear to be kept up very well as it had way too much foam floating on the top of it when the jets were not turned on. This is a great place to stay if you have rug rats but if you want a more up-scale quiet adult place look elsewhere. I would stay there again but only for the pool and our grandchildren otherwise I might look at the Empress depending on what your budget is.

My daughter and I recently spent a couple of nights in Victoria on a bit of a shopping trip. I have stayed here numerous times. The room was roomy and comfortable, but we did not get a harbour view room. Be sure to request one when making your reservation. Beds were extremely comfortable and bathroom was large and adequate. Front desk service staff were prompt and friendly. The bay window in the room was unique. I really don't think a 15$ charge per night for parking is necessary.
