“A must see”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

We joined a guided tour and the guide was interesting and very knowledgeable. After the tour we were allowed to wander around on our own. Photos were encouraged. This was the best way to spend a couple of hours on a rainy afternoon.

“Canada Day at the Legislature”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

Actors dressed in period costumes take you on a guided tour of the Parliament buildings for free! We learned all about the architect, the history of the building, some of the politics and even behind the scenes places.

“Bright Lights!”
Reviewed November 16, 2013

This is a beautiful building and you must be sure to see it at night. All year round the entire building is decked out with thousands of lights, quite spectacular! We love the historic things, so this fits the bill. Right across the street is a lovely park with a big fountain showing all the provincial crests, don't miss taking a look at that.

“"Lest We Forget" - Remember able Gathering!”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

This was our first chance to attend Remembrance Day services at the Parliament Buildings and were happy that we the opportunity! We need to think back to all that sacrificed their lives to allow us to have the great times here in this country. My family immigrated almost sixty years ago and our whole family is better for this chance to live in a country that will allow future generations to have an opportunity only a few in the world will every know!

“See History”
Reviewed November 9, 2013

While your in Victoria BC, check out the hours you can take a tour of "The Parliament Building", (we've seen this building many times, day and night, but this was the first time to see the inside).
This is a free tour, so take advantage of it, and it is not a long one, so children can go too.
Inside you will see the hand painted ceilings of the many hard working people of the past, (sailors in their vessels farmers gathering their crops, etc).
The stain glass windows were made and shipped form England, (except for the one done for ER, (QUEEN ELIZABETH THE 2ND). windows representative of the , arithmetica, historia, agricultura ect. (they are amazing).
This building was designed by Rattenbury, (from England, that's why the stain glass came form there) was only 24 years old when they started to build his creation.
