The free tour is wonderful & the "characters" portrayed by local theater college students were terrific. Very informative & gave a new appreciation of the history of this area. Stop by the rose garden in back; roses are gigantic & most fragrant!

Walked through today with my 7 & 10 year old sons who are still too young to enjoy it. They still had fun walking through and looking around. The architecture is amazing along with all the stained glass. I enjoyed it also. This was also free.

We were surprised by the limited obtrusive security, and were able to get in while politicians were going about their business. There is a self-guided tour available at no charge, and there is a lot of historical information to learn about in the building. The architecture is impressive with some very interesting artifacts.

The cruise ship didn't arrive to Victoria till 8:15 and shops closed at 9:00. Downtown was breathtaking. It was clean and gorgeous flowers all around. The parliament was lit up and it made me smile. I spoke with a resident and she said the city puts extra green and red light on during Christmas time. She said its something they all look forward to.

It was drizzling when we arrived in Victoria so we decided to take a tour of the Parliament Buildings. The lady was very knowledgable and plenty of time to take pictures. It is a lovely building inside, I especially liked all the stained glass.
Nice to be allowed in such buildings without all the massive security too, not like here :)

Oh and make sure you go back and have a look at night time, it is all lit up like Blackpool illuminations!
