did you know that the stalls for the opposing parties have been built three sword lenghts apart since the 16th century to avoid blood shed? this and other fun facts are yours on the free tours. fun for americans and who may not know our parlimentary system. building itself worth a visit, but seriously the tour was terrific. looks best lit up at night when the outline shimmers in the water.

You actually get to see the Parliament chamber where all the laws are made for BC. A self guided tour is available so you can go on your own.

The building itself is beautiful with so many interesting photos and stained glass. The best part was seeing parliament in session. And it's free!

It's alongside the harbour of downtown Victoria. It features some great architecture along with lawn art worthy of those vacation photo ops. At night it is lit up and provides a great backdrop for the city. The Empress, Royal Museum et al all within walking distance.
