We reserved a two night stay at Marifield House in the James Bay area of Victoria, BC.
Our room (#1) was very comfortable and spotless. It included a comfortable queen sized bed, reading lamps, two wingback armchairs, a small TV, a large bathroom with double shower. The room had beautiful afternoon sunshine. The owners were friendly, willing to answer any request and served a hearty breakfast. The house was built in 1920 and is full of antiques and surrounded by lush gardens. It has off street parking and is a ten minute walk to the inner harbour and the center of downtown. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Room #1 gets afternoon sun and is very quiet.

We spent six nights at Marifield House B & B and look forward to returning in future visits to Victoria. David and Toshie greeted us with a warm welcome and we left feeling like old friends. The house is situated in a perfect location within walking distance to downtown, restaurants, shopping, Beacon Hill Park - everything you need. The rooms are comfortable and spotless. David and Toshie went out of their way to provide us with varied artful and delicious breakfasts, helpful advice, and local history which made us feel pampered and special. Believe all the reviews. David and Toshie and the Marifield House are real gems!

Marifield House B & B is a lovely vintage home, so very clean and accommodating, in a fantastic convenient location within walking distance to many desirable sights. The artistic presentation of the breakfast is beyond description and the quality and abundance of food is amazing. We stayed two nights and our relatives stayed six nights and we have no complaints, only compliments and kudos to the wonderful owners who operate this lovely B&B, David and Toshie.

Your hosts, Toshie and David greet you with a warm welcome into their spotless home. Marifield House is in an ideal James Bay location to walk to either downtown, the breakwall or Beacon Hill Park. Toshie takes great care in creating her wonderful varied breakfasts that start your day off in the best way possible.

They have two parking spaces for guests - handy for leaving your car safe & sound while you walk about like a local! David is a treasure trove of local information.

We look forward to staying at Marifield House again in future visits to Victoria.

Room Tip: The Queen/ twin beds room is great for a family & has a large bathroom.

The reviews below give a true picture of Marifield House B&B. A warm greeting, kind thoughtfulness, attention to detail, a comfortable room, massive bathroom, and a plentiful balanced breakfast all add up to a very pleasant stay. This B&B offers only two rooms both ensuite, but has a variety of beds to accommodate a range of travellers from singles to a family of four, unlike many other small B&B's. My daughter and I only spent one night there in a queen & twin room. It was a homey place from which to launch her into first year at UVic. Toshi prepared a lovely breakfast, and David is full of local lore and history: sorry I had no time to delve into that! His restaurant recommendations came to me right after our reservation confirmation, which impressed me. David and Toshi want you to truly enjoy your stay in their old James Bay house and garden, and get the most out of your visit to Victoria.
