We had such an amazing time at our stay at the Ginergread Cottage. The rooms we had were beautiful (there were 4 in our party) The Lavender Room is just gorgeous. A little terrace is outside the patio doors. The Hanzel and Gretel Room is where our 9 year old son stayed and it was just wonderful for him. My dad stayed in the Klimt room which was stunningly beautiful. Vanessa left us little treats of Perrier and Gingerbread in our rooms upon arrival.
The breakfasts were to die for. Vanessa makes homemade granola, which I normally do not eat, but I found myself craving it weeks afterward. The buns are homemade. Even the fruit looks beautiful. The main course is sooo fabulous I couldnt wait to go down in the morning for breakfast. The breakfast setting is just lovely. So ornate and you feel like royalty.
Both Vanessa and her husband Dean are just fantastic hosts. So friendly and helpful. Even the birds and cat seem to get into the company. We also took the Sea King Whale watching tour on the advice of Dean and it was just the best experience for whale watching we have ever had.
We all can't wait to go back. We could not recommend it more highly.
