“Fresh, Fast, and Authentic”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

We stopped by chance at Legendary Noodle after asking our city bus driver where we could get a good, quick, Chinese meal before watching the sunset on English Bay. His recommendation was spot on.

Only a couple of blocks from the beach, we quickly found the restaurant and settled into our compact booth near the entrance. The restaurant is small and narrow, so with the doors wide open, it was almost like eating al fresco. Service was friendly and quick. We had tasty fresh noodles with shrimp and vegetables. The portions were generous, but not overfilling. Our noodles and hot tea were very affordable.

As the restaurant is so small, you can easily see the kitchen and watch noodles being freshly rolled, stretched, boiled, and stir-fried.

We definitely recommend the Legendary Noodle on Denman Street near English Bay and would gladly return if we’re in Vancouver again.

“Handmade noodles on premises”
Reviewed November 20, 2012

It was cheap and good, recommended by our 4-star hotel. Where else can you have noodles made old-school, by hand? We had a bowl of the beef broth, their signature dish (full of flavor), and the lemon garlic noodles. Did you know this was one of 10 must-do things recommended by the NYT for a 36 hour visit of Vancouver?

“Fabulous Fresh Malaysian Food”
Reviewed November 18, 2012 via mobile

My family and I popped into this little restaurant as it was close to our hotel and we thought it would be interesting to try authentic Malaysian food. What a delight! We sat right next to where the chefs hand rolled the dough to make noodles. We loved them!! We tried them thick and thin. SO tasty. Also enjoyed the green onion pancakes with peanut sauce...yum! My husband enjoyed drinking the Chinese beer with our meal. And my son really liked the soup with the dumplings. Highly recommend this place.

“Noodles and dumpling in rainy weather :)”
Reviewed November 11, 2012

The noodles and dumpling soup was good and satisfying specially on the rainy weather.
Like the guy sitting next to us told his friends: "You can't go wrong on any items on the menu." We saw the noodles being made and cooked in our soup. Delicious and not pricey. Bring cash!
