Service perfect, food even better and the chai the best ever. We stopped in for Thanksgiving lunch and so happy that we did.

“Extremely Uncomfortable, but Good Food”
Reviewed May 5, 2012

A reservation for five crammed around a table for four that was abnormally low only to have to hunch over it sitting on the most uncomfortable of wooden stools. We all ordered the "Silk Route East Feast" tasting menu, which allows you to reorder as much of anything you desire after the initial samplings: the food was very good accompanied by terribly slow service. The seating was so extremely uncomfortable combined with languishing service that we just wanted to eat and leave as quickly as possible forgoing any additional portions of food.... The decor and concept were all top notch, but the agony of the experience would not allow this diner to return.

“A rare treasure - exotic, authentic, friendly, atmospheric, and economical! WOW!”
Reviewed November 2, 2011

The mark of any great eatery is not just its food, but its consistency! My wife and I have eaten here more times than I can remember and it has never disappointed. The staff are friendly, relaxed and attentive. Seating can be a bit cramped but hey, they've got to pay the rent I guess! Some of the clientele are a bit "gap-year try-hard," but who cares? The food is amazing. The roti-rolls (go for the double, it's great value) are incredible. The rice bowls are great too - only available at lunchtime I think. Food is Persian / Kashmiri / Pakistani / Indian influenced. The meat is locally sourced and organic. Everything tastes fresh, authentically spicy, and prepared with love. I love the way the girls come round with little appetizers and samples of chai. They know what they're doing of course and you'll be addicted in no time! I almost feel tentative about recommending this place so strongly as it's already really busy every time I go there. But hey, if that isn't the mark of a special place, what is?

“First rate for atmosphere and food and service”
Reviewed October 22, 2011

We love this place and have been going for years! Their chai is absolutely the best and the food delicious. The only complaint is that the seating is uncomfortable and not condusive for visiting in groups. It is intimate for two but bigger than that is difficult to talk. Also the serving sizes are a bit small. Nevertheless we are loyal customers and will continue to go back. I am drooling just thinking about the delicious wraps! Try the chai or their shakes. Some nights they have live music and a dance performance which is really enjoyable.
