“Saved the best for last”
Reviewed October 10, 2013 via mobile

On our way to the Amtrak my girlfriend and I stopped at Rodney's as it had been recommended by several friends. We ended up spending 3+ hours at the bar eating oysters, chowder and crab cakes. The Caesar is their version of a Bloody Mary. Ask for a beer chaser as it is on the spicy side thanks to the freshly grated horseradish. Really friendly staff and great atmosphere. I recommend going after the lunch rush and before dinner. You get to watch them setting up for the night and shoot the can with the employees. I will be back before I die.

“Enjoyable”
Reviewed October 9, 2013

Happy Hour is from 3 - 6pm ... we arrived around 5:15pm & every seat taken. The hostess said we most likely wouldn't be seated before 6 & suggested we make a reservation for later in the evening. We returned at 7:30pm -- Rodney's was still crowded, people waiting outside but we were seated 5 minutes after we arrived..
Rodney's is a small restaurant, wood tables close to each other, above average noise. The fish entrees are extremely limited and not like the variety of fish selections at other seafood restaurant. Oysters are the most popular -- we ordered a dozen oysters which ranged from $3 to $3.50 each. The waiter suggested three varieties of oysters which were, although small, very fresh and tasty. We also had the mussels which were prepared just right and delicious. Wine was priced on the high side so we opted for beer. Best bet is happy hour and save $$$.

“best oysters”
Reviewed October 8, 2013

We loved sitting at the oyster bar and watching them open the feshest oysters I've ever tasted. The tray of sauces they offered really added to the meal. And the server was very helpful in explaining everything about the sauces. The atmosphere was very happening. Nice fun-loving fellow diners. Can't wait to go back!

“Excellent seafood, great atmosphere, good service”
Reviewed October 2, 2013

WE stumbled across Rodney's by chance and were very glad that we did. The place was full - we got the last two seats, and there's a good reason it's so popular. Our server was welcoming and made good suggestions. The atmosphere buzzes. The seafood is great. Highly recommended.
