Great selection if local and oysters from away. Great presentation and great informal atmosphere. Can't get enough.

This is a buzzing casual place with an oyster bar as the centerpiece and classic rock playing under the bustle of happy diners. It gets really busy, so if you have a large group, I can see where reservations would be helpful. We started with the Ocean salad, piled high with scallops, prawns and squid. So fresh and not overdressed. Even the greens were super-fresh, as if picked from the backyard. The highlight was the perfectly-shucked, sweet oysters. One dozen called for another. We felt the house made condiments were interesting, but not needed for these terrific oysters. The clam chowder was bland for my taste but full of clams. We saw steamers ordered by other tables... Yummy. I agree that the beer selection was reasonable, but wine was expensive. The dessert not to be missed is the banana creme brûlée. We were stuffed but seemed to find a little room for this rich yet not-too-sweet treat. Last, but not least, our server Blaine was terrific.

We happened onto Rodney's Oyster House on a Sunday Night when many restaurants were not yet open. The music, the chatter and the warm light drew us in. What a fun, funky, very casual place. We loved the creative decor, the ambience, the piles of fresh oysters and our friendly waiter. The beer was cold; the wine was expensive. Crab cakes were just okay, but the pan-fried oyster were excellent!

This place was amazing! The staff are great, very friendly and easy on the eyes! Having never been there before our waiter just brought us what he thought was best and he did a fantastic job! Everything was incredible. We had a sample of five different kinds of oysters, I don't remember what they were but I do remember the Mussels, the New England Chowder, and the Ocean Salad. I would recommend any of them. The prices are very good regardless of other reviews, very average prices.

You must make reservations as early as you can, for a Friday or Saturday night you must call at least a week or more, or show up about two hours before you want to get in. Absolutely worth the wait.

This is where all the action is. Get a seat here if you can. I had fresher than fresh oysters with AWESOME shredded fresh horshradish---how many places do THAT? Good energy, friendly locals and visitors alike. This is not fancy nor is it pretentious. Just good drink and food.
