“Good sushi, but nothing special”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 17, 2012

After reading the TA reviews, we went to Miko Sushi looking for a truly exceptional meal. It was good but this is probably not the best that Vancouver has to offer. Reservations are a good idea.

“Succulent !!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 5, 2012

There is good ambience, excellent hottest- Sheena- who cater to us in a very professional and knowledgeable manner. The recommendation was great to end up with a succulent meal to our like! We'll definitely make it back and if we were locals would definitely end up being regulars. Our best wishes for many more years of success and thanks again!

“I think this place is over rated.”

There was nothing spectacular that wow and left an impression. It is a decent Japanese restaurant to go to if you are already in the area, otherwise it is not worth a special visit.

“A wonderful after thought”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 2, 2012

Staying at Barclay House 2 blocks away, we decided to walk and find a place. Miko had been mentioned. We arrived about 6 PM without a reservation but they found a place for us. The bar and tables with reserved signs. The food and service were outstanding. The walls were covered with pages signed by celebrities. The complements were well deserved. Reservations strongly recommended.

“Not fresh..”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2012 via mobile

We came here from the recommendation of trip advisor as we were from out of town, but was really disappointed. I don't really understand the high reviews as the food was average at best. We ordered the sashimi omakase 'chef choice' special that came with your typical tuna, yellow tail, salmon, shrimp, clam, etc. But unfortunately no uni even with the high $30+ price. Some of the pieces were definitely not fresh with a slight fishy smell and they should have left off the tilapia altogether.

We also ordered the tofu vegetable hot pot which was pretty good. Unfortunately the sashimi was such a let down and gave as a bad impression of Vancouver sushi. You can definitely do better.
